'My dear child, it has been so long since I last saw you again. I miss your gentle smile, your naivety, your innocence. We should have known that playing for God was wrong, and only a request to be struck down by the real God. I don't know where you are, but I hope you're with good company. My thoughts will be forever with you, because you're the child who evaded the wrath.' February's father placed his cold hands against the star shaped prison he was stuck in. Every day, at the exact same time, a cruel God would burn a bright light, forcing the imprisoned to surrender to it. The light was bright, and judged all of those who had committed major sins against the superior God. This was his way of showing all the people that he was watching, and punishing those rightfully. 'I don't even remember my own name. It feels like my whole existence is being wiped clean.. next to him was a woman, she was also imprisoned by the superior God. 'She.. is my wife? I know I love her, and I can feel that she loves me back.' February's father was a well build man, but her mother was skinny, and weakened by the time she had spent inside her prison. 'Your wife looks like she needs special attention. You could end her suffering, he who forgot his name.' February's father turned his hand, and saw that the lady was in tremendous physical pain. 'I know.. but there is another girl, who needs me even more. I have seen this woman go through even more difficult times. Deep in my heart, I know that she wants me to remind her.' 'The one that got away, is whom you are speaking about, correct?' 'Yes.' February's father looked down, and saw the earth spinning like it's usual self. 'Even if she can't sense it, I want to be strong for the both of us.' 'Your words are heroic, but your actions are shortsighted. If you would choose to let go of the last piece of sin you are holding on to, you would fall, and roam the earth as a new born soul, sin free.' 'I know that's the route I am supposed to take, now more than ever. My time in this prison is almost up. If I don't let go, I will be thrown in the pit of purgatory. Doomed to roam the questionable for as long as my soul can take. But that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for my daughter, and even my son who has abandoned us.' The light got brighter, and he could feel his mind being drained even more. He couldn't even remember what she looked like. But the bond in his heart was strong enough to remember his children forever.
'Why didn't you tell this to anyone? That crack may be our only lead.' 'Why I never told anyone..' Gantius swallowed, but decided that he had to tell someone. 'I never told anyone because it had left me. The world I tried to inform, inspire, enlighten.. had turned it's back on me.' 'Could you please elaborate, kid?' Gantius clenched his fists, and tried not to shout. 'One day, it just stopped existing. I became nothing but a crack in the wall. Perhaps because I stopped sending scrolls.. but it was like the people didn't trust me anymore.. I was their supperior, and I failed them.' The inspector shook his head, and placed his hand on Gantius shoulder. 'You didn't fail anyone, there might be tons of reasons why that crack had close. But, what's even more important.. when did it close?' 'Not too long ago. It was about a week before the incident.' 'Hmm..' the inspector rubbed his chin, and paced back and forth. 'Gantius, please correct me if I'm wrong. But you said that Mex might have a connection to another world somewhere in the galaxy, correct?' Gantius looked confused when the inspector suddenly started to take interest in his theory. 'Well, yes that could have happened.' 'Perhaps the ties were cut before he got killed. Perhaps these two world where never meant to be this close together. Maybe, Garlox has left us to figure out what this other world is. That still wouldn't justify things, but it would explain.' The inspector turned around, awaiting Gantius' reaction to his theory. 'I.. well.. first things first!' Gantius shook his head, and lifted his clenched fist. 'Lord Garlox would never leave us without any proper reason! He felt too obligated to take care of us. So whatever he's doing could be beyond our imagination! Secondly, if there would have been a second world, the council would have known. Especially if Garlox supposedly knew as well! He entrusted us with everything he knew.' 'Hey, I didn't mean to push your buttons, kid. But just let that theory sink in for a while.. even better, let that sink in while getting some steak. Let's go!'
Youkala firmly held Lynch's waist while slowly dozing off on the horse. 'I.. is it far?' Youkala asked, looking somewhat drowsy. 'I have no idea, but if you want to, I can hold you so you can sleep?' Youkala nodded, while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. 'Excuse me, annoying blondes friend, is it far from here? I would like to take a break.' 'Not necessary. We'll be there before the sun rises.' Lynch nodded, and held Youkala's hands close to his waist with one hand. 'We're going to rest at Nominca for the night. It's one of the small cities in the city community. I don't know if you've seen him. But Cedelia is from that smaller city. But please do not speak about our journey. Understood?' 'I might have taken orders from the blonde, but apart from that I'm not stupid.' 'You might not see it, but she's dangerous to the bone. It's better to befriend her while she's not at her fullest power.' 'I'm sorry, I didn't realise this pleasant horseback riding adventure came with a friendly advice.' Vector frowned, but he knew that one day everyone had to give in to her. 'It's right there.' Nominca could be seen, but barely. It was a small city powered by nothing but the great sea that flowed behind it. A mill even bigger than the city was in constant motion from the large waves. It was a rather magnificent view. 'I suspect that you also chose this place because not a dog in the world would hide here?' 'To inform you.. Lynch, this was once the biggest source of energy, and still the biggest supplier in fish and salt in the world.' 'Than I wouldn't want to play a game of chess with them.' '...' 'Please, go on.'
