'Listen kid', Gnorx said. 'I know that a wee lad like yerself likes to live big and wild, and chase after as many lasses as possible. Maybe even that Queenie girl you're after. But this is just stupid!' He took a rather big sip of his beer. The foam kept sticking to his beard. 'Ask anyone.' Gnorx grabbed a random lady by her ass, and pintched it gently before he turned her around. 'Aye Lass!' He said, trying to look charming. 'Tell this lad that it is crazy work to go to that forrest alone!' 'If you pay your bills.' She said, while removing his hand from her ass 'I'd even tell him that he can't come to this bar.' 'Waha!' Gnorx laughed. 'Always fun with this one.' He slapped the lady's ass once more. And wove his beer mug around. Showing that it was empty. The lady, who appeared to be a bartender, started to whisper to Mex. 'Nothing is nearly as dangerous if you take this guy along.' 'But I do need someone...' Mex said to himself. He grabbed Gnorx's mug, and put it on the table. 'Listen.' Mex said. 'Can you come along with us? I have to get that stone.' 'Aye.' Gnorx said 'Consider it done. Tomorrow at dawn, we ride!' He lifted his mug, and started shouting at random people in the bar. who then also started to shout and raise their mugs. Mex felt the hand of his sister on his. 'Please?' Lisai whispered. 'Can we go?' 'Don't worry.' Mex said, smiling. 'Why don't you close your eyes? I'll carry you home.'
Mex had put Lisai to bed. She had already fell asleep on the way home, she was exhausted. Mex could finally got to bed himself. It was quite team relief that there was a possibility for his sister and him to leave. As he sat down at the corner of his bed he started to wonder. 'What would Queenly want with that stone?' He shook his head. As he didn't care that much. He would be gone even before she could use it. He tried to untie his shoes. But his fingers started to feel sleepy. A tingly feeling was now all over his body. As he took his shoes off, he tried to regain feeling in his feet and hands. But it was useless. It felt like his feet weren't even his. Like he was walking on someone else's feet. He didn't draw much attention to it. He needed as much rest as he could get, as they were going to visit the dangerous forrest tomorrow. 'I don't even know what it looks like. How will I know when it's the Aching Stone? Maybe Christoph knows more about it. Queenly wouldn't send me anywhere if she knew that I couldn't do it.' He started to undress even further, and crawled into bed. Almost dozing off immediately.
'What?' Mex rubbed his eyes. 'Where am I?' Mex knew that he was dreaming. But the place still scared him a lot. It looked like hell, or even worse. Everything was red, and shades of black. 'Greeting' A large black ghost approached Mex. It looked more quirky than dangerous. ''Do you know where we are?' 'Hey' Mex chuckled. 'Aren't you a part of this dream? At least you should know!' 'A.. Dream?' The black ghost suddenly started to turn purple as they were speaking. 'No, this isn't a dream. We are in a real conversation.' 'Yeah.. Right..' Mex said while he put his hand in his pockets. 'Listen, I have no time for this. I have to wake up really early tomorrow.' 'That is.. You?' the ghost said in shock. 'You can not go!' The ghost grabbed Mex, and put him inside of it's body. The ghost felt pretty gooey, but it wasn't a bad feeling. Yet, it also didn't feel nice. 'What?!' Mex said disgusted. 'Let me go!' 'Nooooooo.' The ghost said, weeping. 'You can not go... Can not go.. noo...' 'What is up with you?!' Mex said while kicking around in his bed. 'Big brother? Noo.. Big brother?!' 'Angh!' Mex groaned. 'What? Oh! It's you.' 'What is wrong Big Brother?' Lisai asked. 'You seemed to have a bad dream' 'Yeah.' Mex said sleepy. 'Just a bad dream. Nothing more than that.' He rubbed his eyes, and looked outside. But it was still pitch dark out. 'Lisai, why are you still up?' 'I...' Lisai said. 'I.. Woke up. I felt that you were in trouble.' 'Really?' Mex sat up in his bed, and patted the place next to him. 'Come here.' Lisai quickly jumped into his bed, and crawled up against him. His stomach slowly became wet with tears. 'I'm scared!' She cried. 'I just want mommy and daddy back! It's so unfair that daddy left, and even more unfair that mommy left. I don't want to lose you as well! Every night i'm scared that I wake up, and you won't be there, Big brother. And that might even happen tomorrow! What if you won't come back? Huh? I would be all by myself. I'm not grown up yet! I'm only just a child!' Lisai cried even harder, thinking about a life without her big brother.
'I just want our family to be back together again, with daddy coming home in the evening, and carrying me around. Or mommy who would cook for us, and we would have guests, and they would be happy to see her. There is nothing left! Mex started to think, and the corners of his mouth started to feel heavy. 'Do you..' He said, filled with doubt. 'Do you want to stay here?' 'Ofcourse!' Lisai looked up, her face was covered in tears. 'I can't decide for the both of us. I should've asked her.' 'You can't go on deciding for the both of us Big brother! We must stay here, until mommy and daddy return! And we can be a happy family again! You must!' 'Ha.' Mex rubbed his tumb over her cheek, and continued; 'Ofcourse we will... You know, we should stay here. Just in case they get back.' 'Really?!' Lisai screamed. 'Oh thank you! I love you big brother.' She hugged her brother. 'Can.. Can I sleep here with you tonight?' 'Sure!' Mex got a little uncomfortable. 'But.. I'll have to get up in the morning to tell Gnorx the bad news. Okay?'' It was no use, she was already fast asleep.
