'I simply just can't. That's why!' Queenly shouted, as she slammed her fist on the table they were sitting at. 'But please!' Mex sounded desperate. 'I have nowhere else to turn to.' 'What you're asking of me is downright criminal!' She grabbed him by the collar of his coat. Dragging him close from all the way across the table. 'I don't even have that amount of cash on me right now. I'd have to get to the king's vault to borrow some myself. And if I get caught, things won't be as pretty as I am.' Her face turned red with rage, like she was never insulted like that before. 'I know!'' Mex said, with still a spark of hope in his voice. 'But there MUST be something I can do.' 'Ugh.' She sighed. 'There is one thing, I suppose.' She let go of Mex, and calmed down a little. 'Really?!' He started to hugg her tightly, even when she was about to strangle him. He grabbed her by her shoulders, and gently shook her back and forth. 'You must tell me how!' 'STOP THAT' Queenly shouted. 'I'd rather show you where this fist is going to be if you shake me one more time. Understood?' She violently raised her fist. 'Y-yes ma'am.' Mex said, taking his seat across from Queenly. 'What is is that I can do?' 'Have you ever heard of the.. Aching stone?' 'The.. What?' Mex said, while frowning. 'No.. I don't recall anything like that.' Queenly stood up, and turned her back against Mex. Looking over at the good part of the kingdom. 'Yes, the Aching stone.' She said, dreaming away. 'The aching stone is a stone that, no matter the location, or the situation, the holder always remembers what his duty is on the battlefield. It prevents them from showing emotion, and spare any enemies. It is the one last thing I need to create a perfect army. If I could show this to the king, he would gladly pay double of what you're asking of me. 'However..' she turned around, and gazed at Mex. 'Your mother...' She continues, while taking her seat. 'She was the only one who knew the location. And since she.. Ehm.. Won't be returning, all is lost.' 'It isn't.' Mex whispered. 'If that stone means that I can leave. Than i'll find it for you!' 'Are you certain?' Queenly asked. 'It's a dangerous quest.. Even for one of my favourite peasants.' 'I must.' Mex said, with a bit of doubt in his voice. 'As I said. I must leave this place.
'I'm not complaining.' Queenly said, laughing. 'If you're stupid enough to go near the Pannack forrest alone, only to leave this place... Be my guest.' She quickly grabbed a piece of paper, and started to scrible in an unreadable handwriting. 'Here.' She said, while pressing the piece of paper in his hand. 'Give this to Christopher. And he'll help you on your quest. Either you return the stone, or he ends up dead. In either case I win. Now, hurry!' She pushed Mex out of the tent, and started to work on the map that was on the table. 'Right..' Mex said, while scratching his head. 'Goodbye to you too.' He tried to read the piece of paper, but it made no sense. It wasn't even like she tried. 'Must be a siblings thing..' He smiled, and put the piece of paper in his pocket. 'Wait... Siblings... LISAI?!' Day had already turned into night, and it was way too dark for a small 12 year old child to be all alone in the dark at this time. 'Lisai... LISAI?!' Mex was running towards the town's garden. But she was nowhere to be found. 'Okay, relax.' Mex said to himself, filled with panic. 'Wait.. The bar!' Faster than he had ever ran before, he arrived at the bar. 'The Golden Ruick. This is it.' He opened the doors with a mighty force. Everybody inside the bar looked at him, like he had just killed the entire building. 'Big brother?' A voice said. 'It's you!' Lisai ran to Mex, grabbing him by his waist. ''Where were you? How could you leave me like that? It was dark! And scary! And I sold out hours ago! Everybody was staring at me, like I was some idiot! I can't believe you!' She tried her best to be angry, but Mex couldn't be mad at those small 2 fist that he felt punching against his stomach. 'It's alright.' Mex said. 'I'm here now, right?' Mex put his hand on Lisai's head. 'Y.. yes...' 'The thing is...' Mex bend his knees, to look his sister in the eyes. 'I have to leave to the Pannack forrest tomorrow.' 'The Pannack forrest?!' A loud voice could be heard from a few tables over.
'What would a skinny fella like you have to do in the forrest?' The sound of a large beer mug that was put on the table could be heard. 'Excuse me?' Mex said. 'Where are ya?' A large bald man stood up. He had an almighty beard, it was even braided. It was red like the sun, and he looked armoured to the tooth. On his back he would carry a big round wooden shield, and a heavy looking axe. 'Look no further.' The man said. 'Where are your parents lad? They should have thaught you about the Pannack forrest a long while ago.' The man looked angry, maybe even the angriest that Mex had ever seen. 'My parents?' He mumbled. 'I'm Tramia's son..' The man went from angry, to rather glad. 'MEX, OLD PAL!' He bursted out in loud laughter. 'it's not nice to let your old pal Gnorx scare like that.' He raised his voice so much, the entire village had heard him. He walked over to Mex, and gave him a pat on the back. He was so strong, that Mex nearly fell over. 'I'm sorry?' He said. 'Who are you?' 'Aye.' Gnorx said. 'Me and yer mum were the bestes of palls back in the day. I have seen you grow from a wee fella to a.. Bit less of a wee fella.' He bursted out in laughter. 'Why don't we take this to our booth?'
