"I have an Idea!" I said capturing Evans attention. The contless interviews by the police were leading to nothing and the boys had announced they were leaving for tour next week so Evan and I were feeling a bit uneasy.

"Let's go to the mall. We need some normalcy!" I said answering her unspoken question. She nodded and grabbed her keys. We both had to work today and the boys were already at the studio finishing off thier album. Evan left before me but I tailed her closely. I hated knowing that someone could take pictures of us through our windows and we had recently bought black curtians that always remained down. We didn't chance opening them so there was never any natural light in the apartment. Truth be told the boys were weary too but there was nothing they could do so we were just as safe having them here as we wouild be if they went on tour. The drive to the mall was short and sweet but parking was a bitch. We both eventually found a parking spot right next to eachother and walked in.

"Let's hit up Hot Topic." Evan said quietly. I nodded and attempted small talk but Evan was ignoring me. Today we were supposed to be getting our minds off things and instead we were miserably dwelling on it. After we had gone into Hot Topic we had seen FYE we sauntered into a music store. I decided to try and get through to Evan one last time.

"So I've decided that I'm goin to have a beach wedding in Florida. I know it will be hard to get some of our friends there but having my friends and family there would be nice too!" I said. I still got nothing and sighed.

"Sorry what did you say? I zoned out," Evan finally mumbled when I took the plate out of her hands. We had moved to a wedding registry store.

"Today we are supposed to her our minds off of hats going on and here we are just thinking about it more," I said frustrated. We walked to a Starbucks before leaving without having said another word. I was starting to feel anxious but I let it pass hoping it was nothing. Evan got in her car for work and I headed for the tattoo shop. It wasn't busy today and as I walked in the door my phone rang.

"Hello?" I asked worried. What happened now?.

"Hey is anyone home?" Evan asked nervously.

"No the boys are in the studio and I'm workin why?" I asked.

"Oh. I don't wanna go in the apartment today. It's screaming danger." Evan said. I could tell she was still in her car.

"Oh Evan nothing a wrong. You're just freakin yourself out. go on in and I'll be home in a couple hours," I said trying to get her off the line. Johnny was giving me a questioning look.

"I can't it's too freaky!" She said.

"Look Evan you are fine. There's nothing wrong with the apartment! I'll even stay on the line with you while you go in if you want!" I said angrily now.

"Fine," she said. I heard her get out and the faint squeal of tires.

"I can't I can't do this," Evan said running now. I heard the car door slams and the air come on.

"Evan don't be a chicken and just-" I was cut off by the sound of an explosion we could hear from the shop. Johnny and I both ran out and my blood ran cold as I knew it was the apartment.

"Evan? evan are you okay? answer me!" I said right as the line went dead. I immediately called Alan.

"Hey ba-"

"Come home now Evans in trouble there was an explosion,"

"What?! okay be there in ten,"

"Make It five!" I said fast. I jumped in my car and sped off in the apartments direction and was met there by Austin and Alan. The studio was only up the road and we couldn't get into the parking lot so we all got out and walked.

"I need to check on a friend. Evan. I was on the phone when the explosion happened," I said hurriedly to a young officer.

"I don't have any news on your friend but I'm going to need your statement," the cop said. Austin made an inhuman sound and I sprang into my story.

"I'll go check on your friend," the officer said but Evan was already waking towards us with another officer.

"I could have got her killed," I said nearly collapsing into Alan's arms. He attempted to calm me down but couldn't. Austin ran under the tape to hold Evan and yet gave me a worried glance.

"Alan her dad didn't do this," I said.

"What???" Alan asked. I didn't answer as Evan came up.

"You could have got me killed," she said feebly.

"I know. And I'm so sorry," I said. I said it twice and then burst into tears. Alan led me away.

"Angel it's okay! how could you have known? it isn't your fault," Alan said and I stopped crying.

"Alan it is my fault. I'm the one with the mob related back round! This was the mob not some crazed parent!" I said wailing.

"What do you mean?" He asked confused.

"I'll explain it when we get to the hotel," I sniffled. I apologized to Evan at least a hundred times and finally she accepted it. As we walked into the lobby at the hotel we've stayed at twice now the receptionist smiled warmly. This was kinda out backup plan for when we destroyed apartments. Because we were walk ins we couldn't get adjoining rooms but we did get on the same floor.

"Okay start from the beginning," Alan said calmly as I flopped on the bed.

"I don't know why I said it. My dad was in the mob but I wasn't. It just kinda slipped I was in hysterics!" I said.

"Okay. Well as long as you're sure there's nothing to tell," Alan said kissing my head. Was I sure?
