"How'd you even get like this?"
"A witch doctor."
"Really those exist?"
"Yes."

Sean plays with his lip trying to think of what to say.

"What did you mean by you can't feel pain?"

The idea of showing him popped in my head and I walk to pick up a knife from the kitchen, I set it down before Sean and he looks terrified.

"Use it on me."
"What! No, I'm not going to stab my boyfriend!"
I laugh placing the knife in his hand then placing the blade to my palm.
"You don't have to stab me just slide the blade across my skin."

His shaky hands take it from me and holds my hand in his and places the silver metal on my palm, then pulls it back slicing a nice gash in my palm.
I laugh it off and look at him.
"Not even a pinch."

Sean laughs nervously and places the knife on the table, balling up the sleeve of his hoodie and covering up my cut.
"Baby your sweater! Your going to ruin it, Sean."
Sean's too focused on stopping the bleeding to care about his hoodie. This is actually my favorite sweater of his, Sean looks so cute with his tongue out as he dabs the cut.

"It doesn't actually do damage unless I want it to."
"What do you mean?"
My blood free hand picks up the knife and dig it deep in my arm but nothing happens only the blade bends from the hard surface of my skin.
"It's kinda like I can turn it on and off. I let the knife cut my palm open and bleed, just now I didn't let it happen. It's like a switch."
"But how did you cut your foot on the glass?"
"It gets kinda confusing controlling it when I'm around you."
He smiles putting more pressure on the cut.
"Your poor cute sweater."

"I'll just wash it or buy a new one."
"Let me see this."
I slip the hoodie off him, happening to spread more blood, I sigh as I see how dirty it looks, then take it to my washer putting it in and letting that wash.

When I return I rinse my hand under the water cleaning off remaining blood, Sean turns in his chair watching me, but not following.
"I know you don't feel pain, but won't you bleed out?"
Sean ask while hugging me from behind.
"I don't know and I don't want to find out either."
I take the only thing that'll make me feel physical pain, rubbing alcohol, and pour it over the wound.
"Ah!"

He watches in amazement like a child as I clean the wound.
"I though you couldn't feel pain."
We're both on the bathroom floor, Sean's leaned against the tub with his leg pulled close to his body resting his head on his knees.
"It's weird. I can't but when it comes to this stuff it's like I'm human again."
Sean gives a weird noise and continue to stare at his foot with a saddening face, I scoot my body closer to him taking him in my embrace.

"What's wrong, baby?"
He doesn't answer he hides his face from me.
"Talk to me, please."
"I had this thought,"
Tears began forming in my baby's eyes and I knew where he was going with this.
"Your going to live and be around forever but what about me? Your going to watch me slowly die and can't do anything to stop it."

I wipe his tears away with my thumb while I cradle his face. For some unknown reason I find him irresistible when he cries, that hurt look and tears streaming down his face only makes me want him even more.
"It's alright, Sean. This just means I'll be able to be with you forever and that's what I plan on doing. I'm not going to leave you or give up on you, Sean."

My sleeve fixes my blue boys face and he looks like the happy man I love.
"I know what will fix this."
I stand up and run the water for a bath, then leave to grab special shampoo I bought from Paris awhile back.
"I bought this when I was out on a vacation."
"Is that where it happened."
"Yes," His sad expression returns.
"Baby, where suppose to be taking a bath. Let's not talk about this."
He nods and stands with me.
