Ch08: Barkada Dinner

Battle Zone. Dala-dala ang coat na napadry-clean, humahanap ng pagkakataon si Alex na maisoli ito kay Rob kaya paligid-ligid siya sa pinto ng opisina nito.

Anton: Pssssst! Huy, Alex! Anong ginagawa mo?

Alex: Ahhh eeee kasi

Anton: Para kang may bulate, di ka mapakali

Alex: Eeee kasi, isosoli ko sana 'to

Anton: Kanino? Kay Rob?!

Alex: Shhhh.. Wag ka maingay! Oo, isosoli ko sa kanya.

Anton: Bakit asa'yo yan? Oh-em-geee! Ikaw girl, meron ka bang nisisikreto sakin?

Alex: Ha?! Anong sinisikreto!

Anton: May something ba senyo?

Alex: Ha?! Something ka diyan!

Anton: E bakit nasa'yo ang coat nya aber?

Alex: Two weeks ago, nung nag-Bank Bar tayo, naalala mo

Anton: Oh...

Alex: Nung umorder akong drinks naten, pag-turn ko, natapon sa kanya ung margarita kaya inako ko nang ipa-dry clean

Anton: Ahh. Sana binigay mo sakin para inamoy-amoy ko muna

Alex: Ang adik neto!

*Bumukas ang opisina ni Rob*

Rob: Hey Alex, Anton can you come inside?

Rob: Well, I just wanna talk about the project in Kapitolyo...

Anton: aaaannnd??..

Rob: It just got approved!

Alex & Anton: Wow! *nag-high-five ang dalawa*

Rob: Yep and they will start with the construction next week. So Anton, I want you to monitor it closely and report to me on its progress. The construction company promised to pitch it in 3 to 4 months time. So deviation both on design and schedule, let me know.

Anton: Yes, I'll be on it.

Rob: You can swap with Alex on site visits so you can focus on your other ongoing projects but she will be busy too with the physics lab building sa QueSci

Alex: Was it approved?

Rob: Yes and they're quite happy with it. So, sa Monday, we'll be visiting the school to present the designs

Anton: *to Alex* Wow! Babalik kang school friend!!!

Rob: School? Why, did you study there?

Alex: Oo

Rob: Wow! How long have you been friends? Almost your whole lives na ata!

Anton: Medyo lang. We were classmates since first year high school then unseparable from then

Rob: Tagal na ah. Kaya pala, ganun nalang ang enthusiasm mo Alex when you got this piece of work

Alex: Antagal narin kasi ng physics lab na yan e. Before pa ng batch namin, ka-share na ng chemistry lab sa isang building yan. Kaya na-excite ako na gagawan na nila finally ng sariling building ang physics

Rob: Then good! By the way, what happened to Marcus' project pala?

Alex: Ah, tumawag kahapon yung client. They said, okay na sila sa proposal but they want revisions sa designs and they'll just talk to Sir Marcus when he gets back kasi madami na raw silang na-discuss about it. Hassle raw to go through the whole explanation all over again.
