She just hates lying to Josh. But she's the one who agreed on this arrangement with Rob so she needs to deal with it. She just hopes that no one will see them tomorrow on their way to Rob's family lunch - which fortunately will just be at their house in Makati.

Sunday, Rob prepared some toast, tea (for Alex) and coffee (for him) for breakfast. Alex started getting herself ready and picked out a rosa sundress paired with a denim jacket, brown strappy flat sandals and a fringed donut-style messy bun. She doesn't want to disappoint meeting Rob's family even they are just doing this as a front. Rob was stunned how lovely she looked the moment she got out of her room but kept his demeanour.

Alex: Hmmm... How do I look?

Rob: You.. look.. Great! I never knew you could pull a dress

Alex: Bwisit 'to!

Rob: I think the track pants and the oversized shirt suit you better

Alex: Tseh!

Mang Nestor pulled over, picked them up and along the way, they decided to drop by a liquor store to buy a bottle of red wine.

At the doorstep, Alex let out a big exhale and Rob just held her hand and assured her that everything would be okay. He thought that's way too cute how she was feeling so nervous even if this was all but an act. Sometimes he admits to himself being at awe with her on how effortlessly she always puts her best in everything even if she has no idea at all. (๑‵●‿●‵๑)

Rob's Dad opened the door and welcomed his son and his girlfriend, and asked to follow him in his office to discuss something. Rob was hesitant leaving Alex alone, but she said she'll be fine and will just have a look around the massive house. Alex kept herself busy browsing family photos in some of the book shelves next to a grand piano. Suddenly Rob's mom appeared from nowhere and started a conversation.

Mom: Hi...

Alex: Hello po~~

Mom: *picks a photo frame* This my eldest, Nathan and his wife Lorraine. They got into a car accident three years ago and this house was never the same. Rob and Nathan were super close. They would do everything together, try everything together. I never recall a single time they had a fight. They just got along. So it was heartbreaking for Rob losing his best friend. And I guess it's the same reason Rob don't want to live alone in this house when we went to the States. He can't be in the same space where he had all these memories of his brother. *picks up another photo frame* And this is Sophie, my only grandkid. Poor child, becoming an orphan at a very young age. Ever since that accident, she just stopped talking.
