Late na sila nagising that Saturday because of the big night in homecoming. While still in bed, tinext ni Alex si Josh if they could move their date the following week dahil sa pagod at antok, and was surprised of Josh's reply~~

Hindi alam ni Alex kung matutuwa ba sya sa plano ng boyfriend or maiinis. She just wants that day to relax and catch up on sleep. And if he comes over, she needs to prepare stuff for him and needs to clean or at least organize things. And the thing that worry her most is how awkward that would be for her housemate.

Paglabas ni Rob mula sa kwarto, nagulat syang naglilinis si Alex sa sala~~

Rob: Why are you cleaning? It's my turn to clean this weekend--

Alex: Josh... today... Is it okay?

Rob: Yeah, yeah... No worries at all. Here, let me help you with tidying things up a bit~~

Alex: *smiles*

She's just amazed how Rob is so cool with everything. He knows exactly the right words to say to make her feel relieved, and knows exactly what to do and act in situations like these.

Half past twelve nang dumating si Josh. Rob started preparing something for lunch. Josh put on The Purge, even if Alex is not a fan watching it.

Alex: Rob's cooking spaghetti meatballs for lunch--

Josh: That's nice of you Rob. Thanks!

Rob: Hey Josh, are you fine with mushrooms? You're not allergic or anything? Alex likes them in pasta kasi --

Josh: Yeah, I'm good.

Nang madinig ni Josh yun, nakaramdam sya ng inggit to the fact na mas kilala pa ni Rob si Alex kumpara sa kanya. In the middle of the film, Alex went to the kitchen to pry on Rob's cooking and started stirring the sauce~~

Rob: Heeeey, you're not supposed to do that! I had just put red wine in it! I'm still waiting for the alcohol to evaporate!

Alex: Gutom na'ko e--

Rob: Just sit back and relax *putting his hands on her shoulder and pushing her away from the kitchen*... It'll be ready in 15 minutes. Annnnd give me that *while stealing the ladle from her.*

Josh and Rob glanced at each other, then the latter quickly looked away. Josh can't help but feel jealous on how close Rob and Alex were. He reminded himself to remind Alex again to move in with her as soon as possible.

They ate lunch together quietly. No one's daring to talk. After eating, Alex suggested that three of them play Jenga, where Rob lost. It almost seems like a normal weekend-hanging-out-sesh with friends, but it's not. Josh left around 5 as he's meeting up with his sister and brother-in-law for dinner.

Back at home, Rob and Alex decided to watch Stranger Things, which Alex has been meaning to watch since last week that it has been released in Netflix.

Rob: Why are we watching this?

Alex: Because it's a freakin' Dungeons & Dragons, Goonies and Fringe crossover!!! *excited voice*

Rob: Why didn't you watch it with Josh awhile back?

Alex: Hindi niya trip. He said it's too childish -- watching teenagers as leads in a sci-fi thriller series. And besides he doesn't fancy sci-fi things.

Rob: And do you think I do? *nang-aasar na ngiti*

Alex: Fine! Kung 'di mo din trip, okay lang. Papanoorin ko nalang mag-isa~~

Rob: Haha.. Joke lang. I can watch it with you. You know I love sci-fi. But really? He's not a fan? What about Spock and Captain Kirk?

Alex: Nah! I know right?! He's missing half of his life!

Rob: How about Star Wars?

Alex: He said he's just watched it because everyone does.

Alex was lying on the floor and Rob stayed at the couch. They sometimes pause to discuss things about the plot, which Rob is used to by now. The first time they did that was with the 2010 film, Shutter Island, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. He's watched that film with his best friend and his brother, Nathan; and they were mind-blown. He suggested it to Alex and when they watched it one weekend, the pause-to-discuss-movie-scenes was born. Rob found it weird before, but as time goes by, he became accustomed to his housemate's quirky habits.

She then fell asleep at the third episode. Rob stopped the movie, woke her up and told her to just head off to bed.

The next day, she felt odd. She felt like having a cold or a fever but not quite. Since the weather forecast was warning everyone to get ready for a thunderstorm, she told Rob to help her out moving sacks of sand to barricade the porch to prevent the wooden deck from falling apart.

They were almost done when the big patch of rain and gusty wind came by. Instead of feeling annoyed, they took this chance to have a crack and splashed water on each other and played under the rain. It's as if the world moved in slow-motion. And it was just the two of them, having the time of their lives. Since the lawn was getting muddier, Alex accidentally slipped, and Rob quickly grabbed her to prevent her from falling flat on her face, and she fell on top of him. They just looked at each other, all dirty and dripping wet, when Rob said, "You look like exactly how you were during the habulan ng biik nung piyesta senyo." Alex remembered, got off of him, rolled down to his side and both just lay on the grass and laughed while the rain was still pouring hard. And she whispered, "This is... actually... fun." While Rob answered back, "Yes, it is!"
