Lucy's POV

I sighed as I seated myself next to Levy, attempting to shut out my ears from the racket Natsu and Gray were making. Wooden chairs were hurtled together by the muscular team mates, along with a string of words I didn't bother to decipher. Erza had stood up from her seat, her red hair flowing behind her like a beacon of light.

"Lucy!" Levy cried out as she flung her skinny arms around me. Her frail arms were surprisingly tight in the short embrace.

I responded with a small smile, "Have you started another book?"

Levy beamed as she returned her gaze to the open book laid on the table. Holding it up, she hurriedly told me the title: Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. I was surprised as how she hadn't read that story before, since it was such a classic.

"How about you, Lucy? Have you nearly finished your novel?" I blushed red at her question. The novel was in fact nearly finished, but I was still struggling to find a way to end it.

"Well... I need some inspiration first, but it just needs a chapter left before I can show it to you!" Levy glanced behind my shoulder, suddenly curving into a small ball. "Levy-chan?" I started, but paused as I felt the familiar thundering footsteps of Gajeel. I turned away to hide my smile.

"Shrimp!" Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Levy clench her fists. Her face was covered with a light pink. Gajeel stalked towards us, and picked up the copy of Romeo and Juliet. He tched, and sat next to Levy. "You're always reading romance these days," he concluded.

Heat boiled on Levy's face as I crossed my arms over my chest. "It's not her fault you can't read and enjoy it as much as she does! And you're probably some hopeless romantic—".

"It's true. Gajeel can't read," Levy's small voice answered. I gave her a surprised look, which she smiled to in return.

Gajeel argued, "At least my IQ is better than Natsu and Gray's put together." I allowed myself to roll my eyes.

Gajeel left the table without another word, which was not expected since he had such a stubborn mind. With a cheeky grin on my face, I swivelled to face back to Levy.

"Just confess already!" I cried in exasperation, hands on my hips. "You totally blushed, and it's obvious he feels the same way too!"

Levy shook her head frantically. "No-no no," she seemed to say, again and again. "You've got the wrong idea!" Levy answered, red in the face. "I hate him—he's always teasing me about my height."

"You do know that he doesn't tease anyone else, but you. Which means you guys have a special relationship going on!" I clasped my hands together, imagining the time when Gajeel and Levy would finally tell each other their feelings.

Except that wonderful thought halted abruptly, and was replaced by a stinging pain on my right arm. Levy had (not so gently) hit me with the book. She immediately shouted her apology, though it wasn't as loud as the clanging of metal against metal behind us.

I turned in my seat; Natsu and Gray's ears were both tinted red, veins popping out of their skin. Erza had threatened them as soon as they knocked over her third strawberry cupcake. Lisanna and Mirajane had stopped serving drinks as soon as the commotion started. Even Cana had stopped mid-drink, mouth open and a drop of wine eagerly trickling down her throat.

"Can I ever eat in peace?!" Erza roared, though the fact she had cream over her top lip changed the intensity of her rhetorical question.

Natsu and Gray sweat-dropped. I furrowed my brow, taking in the mess around me—the notice board had smashed right through the middle, Carla and Happy standing right in between. Happy was, as he told me before, trying to ask Carla on a date (thus the fish wrapped in pink ribbons in his hand).

I swivelled my gaze back to the annoyed looking S-class wizard: Erza Scarlet. She hadn't transformed to any of her armour—her piercing gaze seemed more than enough to frighten the pair.

Gray and Natsu immediately hugged each other, trying to somehow persuade Erza that it was just fun and games.

But they were smashed into the ground by a large fist and a long arm. The trail ended at Makarov's furious face.

Hello! I've written a fairytail fanfic before, but it was dreadful so I put it down. Not to say this isn't a rewrite—it's a totally different fanfic! I'm attempting something new! (Though some concepts might be the same).

Anyways I was scrolling through fanfics regarding Fairytail, but there were only a few about the main ships all together. (Fanfics only concentrate on one at a time, ie Nalu). So why not read a book where all ships happen...! And I promise you, it's going to be cute.

Since I procrastinate, chapters will be released in batches of 3. The first chapter is going off by itself to introduce everyone to this story. I'm not sure when I'll update but I'll try to make it as soon as possible...

Comment down below which ship you want to see the most!!
