Haha, I'm back! I was bored so I decided to write some more! This chapter's kinda short compared to the last one (about 70 words less), but it's funny, I guess? Well, sure, it's kinda my attempt at humour. Whilst I'm writing this, I'm listening to Fairy Tail's sad soundtrack, because I just finished watching the anime! (I know, I know, so late!) In truth, I started a year ago, stopped for about 11 months, and only resumed 1 month ago! So don't worry, I've caught up. I just can't wait till Spring, where Fairy Tail 2017 will be released! Anyways, here's the chappie—enjoy!
Lucy
Sweat clumped together on my forehead as I leaned my weight on a broom. "Natsu! Happy!" I called, furrowing my brows as the response was only an echo. I'd just arrived to the house where Natsu, Happy and I would be staying, yet there was no greetings from the two energetic mages. With nothing better to do, I'd taken hold of a broom I'd found in one of the cupboards whilst exploring the place, and cleaned two rooms in the lower ground.
"Seriously," I mumbled to myself as I wiped the floor and picked up empty crisp packets, "They've only arrived this morning and look at the mess they've made! Geez, they're gonna make me 20 years older than I am already!" Pushing a brown sofa to the side, I gathered the dust and dirt from underneath into a plastic bag to put into a bin. I placed my arm atop my forehead and looked out from the window. Clear, blue skies stretched its canvas over the horizon, interrupted by the shining rays of sunlight.
My spare fist clenched at my side, and I put it to my chest where it could feel my steady heartbeat. The heartbeat that Natsu had saved over and over again. I closed my eyes as memories of the year Fairy Tail disbanded replayed in my head. But I shook my head. I was not going to dwell on the past.
Giving a stretch, I let the broom fall from my hands and drop onto the white floor. I rubbed my eyes and tightened the strand of my maid outfit, since it was falling apart due to my past movements. Doors of many rooms stayed open—each one leaving a trace of Natsu and Happy behind. I let myself show an annoyed expression as I pushed my bangs to one side and grabbed hold of my broom again.
Time flew by quickly after that. I grinned at my work as the stair case glimmered, as well as the floor on the lower ground. Looking upwards, I blew some of my hair that stuck close to my eyes and made my way to the bedrooms. Carefully tiptoeing past Natsu's and Happy's to not wake them, I decided to make a move on mine first. Of course, it was already decorated with pictures of the whole guild of Fairy Tail; they covered the whole opposing wall. The other 2 were blank, made of only white wallpaper.
Falling back down into my bed, I gave out a large exhale at the morning routine. The only room left was Natsu's; and although it counted as invading one's privacy, I wasn't going to allow Natsu to trash his own room on the first day! Knocking wasn't an option either—they seemed as if they were asleep.
I pushed at the door with gentle force, cringing at the small creak it made. The sight made me gasp. Covering my mouth with one of my hands, I took a glance at the messy pile of junk scattered everywhere. Natsu and Happy were hidden in the middle of the room somewhere, but I couldn't pinpoint where exactly due to the mountains of food wrappings and fish. Groaning innerly, I busted myself with collecting all of their rubbish first. Although the crinkling of the wrappings would surely wake the two mages up, I kept on going. It was their fault for not tidying up themselves!
"Luce," Natsu mumbled in his pillow, turning over which made Happy stir. I raised an eyebrow, though my breathing quickened at the thought of him finding me in his room. Quickly, I bounded into one of his wardrobe, covering my nose at all of his stinky clothes in his wardrobe. It was silly, but effective. Holding my breath, I counted 10 seconds until I left the wardrobe, crossing my fingers for him to never find out that I lurked in his room.
There was only one spot left, and then I could leave. Oh, how precious that thought was then. With a leap, I hurriedly wiped the spot cleanly, dashing to the sides and corners for one last swipe. Finally, I was in a position at the foot of Natsu's bed.
With my hands on my hips, in a pose which meant I was proud of myself, I did not feel a being right behind me. His hand grabbed onto my waist and I gave a yelp, nearly bashing my head on one of the walls.
"Lucy, what are you doing here?" Natsu asked, his breath tingling my neck. "Also get off! You've gained weight!"
"Hey, you're the one who grabbed me! And I'm supposed to be your maid, remember?"
"Ooooh, a maid!" Happy yelled, excited with the prospect of having someone who listened to whatever he said. "Then, I order you to cook fish for today's lunch!"
"It doesn't apply to you!" I shouted back, a vein popping on my forehead. It wasn't a shout to spike an argument, but rather a more joke-type one.
Pushing myself off their bed, I looked at Happy and Natsu evenly. They both had cheeky grins on their faces, which made me shiver at the fact they could ask me to do whatever they wanted me to do. "Ah, I know!" Natsu abruptly exclaimed, "Do a dance for us!"
"Never!" I replied back instantly. Sure, I was quite confident in my sex-image, but dancing was not going to happen.
"Then sing!" Happy asked.
"Not that, either."
"Act out a play!" Cried out Natsu, eagerly looking up at me from the bed, sitting cross-legged.
I sighed and pulled a frown. This was going to be a long day.
