I'm writing this during a car ride. So it might be a bit bumpy! Haha. Also, we've reached 1K! 😊 Can we get to 5.5K before we finish this book?

Mornings used to be my favourite time of the day. It always gave me a new profound motivation to live the day to its fullest. Before that happened, of course. Today I woke up to a lump in my throat and something heavy in my chest. Yawning, I turned to my side to hug the end of my fluffy, strawberry-scented pillow which Jellal gave me yesterday afternoon.
I tugged on my black tank top and leggings, and paused to look at the time on my phone—7:03am. With shaky hands, I scrolled through the messages I gave Meredy after the conversation Jellal and I had. She'd been the one I thought of first when I was in my crisis, since Mira would freak out and give me a long lecture. The other girls would also be sensitive to the topic; it was obvious they'd started having feelings for their partners ever since Couple Week took place.
A light tapping from my window was audible. I furrowed my brows in confusion, before annoyance surpassed that emotion after reminding myself about the idiotic response I'd given to Jellal. Who would be outside my house at this hour? They wanna fight? Shaking my head, I swept past my bed covers, wardrobes and my other belongings, and violently opened my window. I stared daggers to the human underneath.
Meredy.
"Catch!" Suddenly a rope slapped right across my face, causing a stinging pain on my right cheek. "Sorry!" Meredy hurried on, after I poked my head back out of the window, recovering from the shock. Sighing, I tightened the rope to the table leg for it to be secure. Meredy climbed up with ease, her pink hair glowing a light shade of purple due to the weak sunlight.
With one eyebrow raised as she entered into my room, Meredy looked slightly guilty. "Alright, I'm sorry. I had to hit you with that rope, because what you did was totally stupid!" I rolled my eyes and covered my chest by crossing my arms over my black tank top.
There was no point in answering. She'd said the truth. "I need your help, Meredy. You're close with Jellal, right?" I pleaded, but in the end it seemed more like a threat. Meredy gave out a weak breath and dropped down onto the edge of my bed. I pulled out a chair for me to sit on.
"Erza, do you like - or love - him?"
I looked away, hiding the blush on my cheeks. "... Love, I guess. But Jellal only said he likes—".
Meredy studied the fumbling of my fingers and the awkward glance I'd give her once in a while. "I'm sure he loves you. He probably didn't want to scare you by suddenly saying he loved you. Liking someone always comes first!"
I nodded in understanding, but didn't interfere. She seemed as if she had more to say. "After Jellal told you he had a fiancée... Ultear and I had a talk with him." Her breathing quickened after she recalled her best friend Ultear. "We knew he had developed feelings for you - and he knew it too. The reason why he said he had a fiancée was because he thought he didn't deserve someone 'following the path of light'".
Looking down on the floor, I gave a light laugh. "That sounds a lot like Jellal," I acknowledged. Meredy smiled at my brightened mood.
"Talk to him, Erza. He really does treasure you. I once filmed him in his sleep, calling for you!" She teased, pointing at my red face. When I showed embarrassment, I was aware I looked like a potato. Now, I was sure I looked like a tomato.
Underneath, a door creaked opened. Whatever activity planned for today was going to be announced soon. I watched Meredy climb half way out of the window.
"Ya know," Meredy gave a wink, "The beach would be a nice place." She grinned and ran out of my sight. Patting my heated up face, I walked to the bathroom and splattered cool water onto my head. As I wiped my face onto my towel, a note fell out behind one of the soaps.
Good Luck.
I ran my fingers down my tangled hair and sighed. "Meredy," I scowled, tucking the piece of paper behind my pillow and getting out of my room.
Jellal and Mira met me downstairs, and both gave me smiles. I greeted them both and followed them to the meeting point where everyone else were already gathered. The place we reached to looked like a closet—dresses from Disney films sparkled due to the patches of glitter on them. On the other side were men clothes, which once again seemed as if they came out from Disney movies.
"The activity yesterday was a big hit! Everything was on camera!" Mira squealed, holding out CDs with all our faces on it.
"WHAT?!" Lucy and Levy screamed in unison, crushing everyone's ears and perhaps causing deafness. Everyone blushed, and I noticed Jellal's uneasiness growing.
Mira smiled at all of us, "Today, in your partners, you will be dressing up as Disney characters and singing together one of the songs!" Juvia beamed, but everyone else looked worried. "Erza and Jellal, you're from Mulan! Gray and Juvia—Frozen! But Gray, you're going to dress up as Elsa -".
"They can't do that!" He yelled, punching Natsu's face when Natsu started laughing.
"Natsu's Shrek, Lucy you're the princess."
"Shrek!" Gray laughed, poking out his tongue.
"Elsa!"
"Shut up!" I yelled, slamming both their heads together. "You're both pathetic characters! Whereas Mulan's a fighter!"
Mira giggled, "Carrying on... Lisanna, Bickslow-—Peter Pan. Wendy and Romeo—Aladdin. And Gajeel and Levy—Beauty and the Beast. So everyone! Get your costumes and start practising!"
"Alright!" Natsu shouted, jumping up and pulling Lucy outside to their house to practise. Happy quickly caught up with them.
Jellal stared at me silently, gesturing us both to head out. With a deep breath, I nodded and together we exited.
