So, I was really stuck with what the first activity for "Couple Week" should be. Then, as I was walking to school, I got an idea! This Couple Week thing I invented on the spot is actually going to be a kinda big thing where their love blossoms(?). Just saying, we have only begun the plot, even when we're 20 chapters in... yeah this Fanfiction is gonna be pretty long, sorry... And some of you are going to hate me for this, but when the Dragon Mating day rolls around there will be some pretty intimate scenes. Don't worry though, I'll warn you. The chapters will be called "(Ship)Lemons"; e.g. "nalu Lemons" or "Gruvia Lemons". That's just a little heads up! We're nowhere close to then yet!

Now I really gotta do my homework...
Romeo

Fluttering my eyes open, I groaned at the wild ringing of my alarm clock. Outside the light had barely raced across the sky, and there were still freckles of night that dotted the misty surface. 7am was written on my alarm clock and I quickly stopped its ringing by slamming my fist on it.

Laziness still clung onto me from yesterday night... as well as the taste of Wendy's lips on mine. I could still feel it—sweet, soft and pleasant. Rubbing my hands on my cheeks to stop thinking about her, I took a quick shower and changed into my usual outfit.

A buzzing noise was downstairs. "Natsu-ni! What are you doing this late at night?!" I asked as I reached downstairs to the sitting room.

"Ehh? Romeo? Don't you remember the job Mira gave us?" He rubbed his eyes, sleep evident in his posture and tired eyes. Even his salmon hair was in a disarray—well, even more than usual. I looked around at the others who were hidden behind furniture and some (like Gajeel) having extra sleep.

"Apparently we have to get costumes for the girls for Couple Week," Laxus mumbled, eating a packet of crisps on the sofa. He leaned his head on the arm rest and groaned at the thought. I looked at all of their pathetic faces, shaking my head at their negative thoughts.

Jellal had a pillow on his stomach as he slept, stretching his body along the longest sofa in the room, whereas Gray tried to hit him awake. "Hey, it's not that bad," I attempted to reassure them. Gray, Laxus and Natsu (who were the most awake out of all of the group) stared at me with astonished faces. Panther-Lily and Happy yawned at the back of the room, continuing their sleep a few moments later.

"I mean, just a costume right?" I said, trying to liven up their moods, "They like dresses; just get them dresses!" I clapped my hands, surprised at my own very logical plan. However, my face fell as Jellal placed his hands over his eyes and sighed. Laxus continued to crinkle his crisp packet and let it fly over the air to land in the bin. Gray gave up on shaking Jellal awake and sat down on the edge of the sofa, contemplating about the dreadful day that lay ahead.

Gajeel and Natsu looked dumbstruck. "Dresses? Those are just girl clothes, right?" Natsu asked to confirm, and I nodded. "Nah, I'm gonna get Lucy something better. She wears too many girl clothes."

"Just make sure you don't burn them beforehand," Gray muttered, sparking a fight between the two. I ran into the middle with outstretched arms, pushing the two men away from each other. Laxus opened another crisp packet and placed on his headphones, looking outside the window.

Mira punched the door open, and her presence enough was to jerk everyone awake. "Really?" She pouted, hands on her hips, "It's 7am and there's already a fight?" Natsu and Gray's face tightened and acted like best friends all of a sudden. I watched as Mira inspected the room and seated herself on one of the table chairs. "Today is meant to be a surprise for the girls. After all, this evening is the first day of Couple Week. The reason you need costumes is for you to model and gain an audience."

She proceeded with a glint in her eye, "Audience means money and popularity!" She shouted, surprising the males there. Giving a small laugh to herself, she mumbled, "Also it means more chances for my OTPs to get together...". With a cough, she stopped speaking out her thoughts and looked at us levelly.

"For this week, you will all be against each other. It's a competition—," she introduced, but was drained out by Natsu and Gray's silent look they gave each other. Slapping them on their faces, she continued, "—to see who's the best couple! Not," she exaggerated, "a competition to split this dear guild apart."

Looking at the time, she placed her hands on the table as she stood up. "It's now 7:15. Shops here open early at 7:20... Good luck!" She turned on her heels and slammed the door. Everyone looked at each other... And sprinted right out of the door. Natsu, Gray and Gajeel tackled each other to the window and swung it open, jumping straight into the air.

Happy and Panther-Lily chased after them, barely catching Natsu and Gajeel as they tumbled downwards. Gray, with no Exceed belonging to him, tried to use his Ice Make to have a soft landing, but ended up crashing head first into the floor.

I examined the broken glass window and the destroyed door. With a grace the others could not achieve, I strutted out of the male dormitory, grabbed some of my Jewels and made my way to the clothing shops.

At first glance, nothing really interested me. They were all usual clothing, none of which Wendy would like. I sat on a bench outside in a park, staring at my reflection in the water fountain. Birds were twittering overhead, arranging themselves in a circle atop a shop I hadn't noticed before.

Interest churning inside of me, I entered the shop, looking amazed at the bell that dinged when I took a step inside. The inside was adorned with clothes and jewellery. I looked to my right and a fairy outfit caught my eye. Wendy would look good in this, I thought as I smiled to myself. Placing my order, I busied myself counting my jewels when the seller sighed to himself.

"Ahhh, young love," he mumbled, scanning the Fairy outfit and also the outfit for me. "Shame I never got the chance," he admitted quietly to himself.

A light blush clouded my cheeks, "Actually... I don't have a girlfriend!" I blurted, turning redder and redder every second. "This costume is just for my... friend...". I looked away and handed the jewels in the process. The man behind examined my face and gave a hearty laugh.

"Just a tip, young man. Don't lose your first love."

His voice stayed in my mind for the rest of the day.
