I raised my eyes suspiciously at Jonah, who watched us with keen interest. Part of me thought they'd give me a dress a size too big, or a size too small—but the dress clung onto my awkward curves as if it were made for me. "Hmph," I pouted, sticking my tongue out at Jonah who studied us with his eyes.
Attempting to look away, because the look he gave us made me uncomfortable, I crossed my arms over my chest and walked over to the rest of the group. Everyone looked embarrassed in the identical dresses they gave to us. Whatever Jonah was scheming seemed dangerous.
"So tell us," Erza said in a vicious tone, "why would you try and capture us?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Jonah murmured, though it was loud enough for us to hear him. He trickled his hands over his sharp jawline, trying to enrapture us in his looks. Around me, a series of eye rolling fell onto the delicate features of the girls.
"No," Mira challenged, taking a step forward. After all, stepping away meant she'd lose the battle which had commenced between them both.
Jonah raised an eyebrow. How would we guess whatever he was scheming? All the evidence he'd given us were the dresses we were wearing. Perhaps he just wanted his prisoners to look nice, but I doubt that was the case. Unless he was some perverted lunatic. That sounded more like him.
He gripped the bars that separated us both. I was sure if Mira and Erza had the chance, they'd rip off his throats like werewolves with their prey. Even without magic, they were both violent when it came to Jonah and the rest of his gang. "We're the anti-love guild." Lucy silenced her snort by placing a hand across his mouth. "Whatever was brewing in the resort had to be diminished," Jonah continued, oblivious to our disgusted reactions.
A guild against the prospect of love? How pathetic. "We first saw you guys together and were confident you were just friends. But after the few days of Couple week..." Mira had a satisfied look plastered on her face—so did Lisanna. "It was all for revenge for my wife who divorced me!"
"Who'd love someone like you?" Juvia murmured, earning a nod from Lucy. It was true. Although Jonah had his looks, underneath him was a cold hearted sleeping monster, which would awaken when he wouldn't get what he wanted.
Jonah snapped his attention to Juvia. "How dare you—".
"I really do pity you," Lucy said. She stared at him straight in the eye. "Revenge for your wife? Come on, she divorced you, so you should just get on with your life. Ever thought why she divorced you? Look at what you're doing now—trapping girls in a prison just for your games."
I said with disgust, "Let us go. If you're desperate for love, try and be a better person in the first place."
I crossed my fingers behind my back. There was no time to lose if we were going to go far with this plan. We were to go into separate pathways when Jonah brought us to wherever he wanted to bring us to find an exit. Warrod was able to contact us down in the filthy prison; it looked as though only our magic wouldn't work here. I gave a discreet glance to Lucy who smiled at me.
