Aaaand I wasn't going to update today since I have so much homework 😭 but I couldn't leave Mira and Laxus' story till tomorrow, so here it is!

Mirajane

Immediately after the couples left to go on their dates, I jerked Laxus' arm violently. Unfortunately my hand couldn't fit over Laxus' muscles, so in the end my decision was to lead him by his shirt.

"Quick, Laxus!" I squealed in an excited manner, kicking up dirt from the floor due to my fast pace.

"What are you up to now?" Laxus said annoyed, making no move to hurry up. I gave him a glare, but it eased when he started his jogging. "Seriously," he rolled his eyes, "I know you're playing matchmaker, but why did you have to bring me?"

Giving him a serious look, I sighed exasperatedly, "I am the matchmaker. This is my duty!" I threw my arms up in the air, emphasising my point. He tched, but still followed after me, looking down at our now intertwined hands.

Blushing, I pulled it away. As I looked up to watch his expression, he abruptly turned his head, seeming to be interested in the sky.

Jonah and a pink-haired girl was collecting tickets at the end of the line which lead to the Ferris Wheel. Smiling, I pulled out my VIP ticket and gracefully made my way to the front, my black dress elegantly flowing behind like a canvas.

"Hi, Jonah!" I twittered, giving a smile to the pink-haired in the process. "Here's my ticket," I slid the ticket into his hands, looking unsurely at Laxus as he not-so-gracefully shoved his into Jonah's hands.

Jonah glared at both of us, "This man has to go to the back of the queue. He doesn't have a VIP ticket."

"Jonah, don't be so cold. Just because you got dumped doesn't mean you have to act so pathetic. Love is so powerful! Love, love, love!" I turned, surprised at the voice.

"Sherry!" I acknowledged, with a good posture and gentle voice. "Lamia Scale is here too, I suppose?"

Sherry nodded, "Yes, we're here to help out this resort." She proceeded to look down onto the floor.

"How's Jura?" Laxus grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Everyone's doing fine," she smiled and looked over to Jonah who was observing us eagerly. "Jonah, let them through."

Jonah grunted in response, already in the middle of checking another visiter's ticket. I thanked Sherry, then Laxus and I stepped inside one of the carriages. Gradually it picked up the pace and elevated upwards, the glass doors closing.

Astonished, I leaned onto one side of the glass carriage, looking at the scenery—the green fields and intricate designs on buildings. As we reached the top, I took off the camera hanging from my neck, zooming in the camera to spy on my ships.

"Laxus," I called, who was sitting on one of the benches, boredom evident on his face. I peered behind me to see his face fully, "Will you help? This is a chance to see how my OTPs are going!"

I returned my gaze outside, scrutinising at the view to catch any pictures. Luckily I could use my camera to shield the blush forming on my face. He was standing so close that I could feel the outer fur from his coat brushing my skin.

"There," he said, pointing behind a tall building. For one quick second I forgot what I had asked him to do, being all engrossed in him and all. Biting my lip to stop the thoughts, I went on my tiptoes to see over the buildings.

We were so high up, yet the building was too tall for me to peer over. I looked at Laxus, pleading with my eyes. "It'll just be a quick moment," I tried to encourage him to carry me over his shoulder.

"F-fine," he finally agreed, and I silently fangirled at his stuttering.

Standing on the bench, I motioned for him to kneel down. Carefully, gathering my dress, I placed one leg over his shoulder, and then the other, discomfort at its maximum.

Laxus slowly stood up, though I still nearly fell backwards. "Be careful!" I screamed, wobbling over his shoulders. He gripped my shins with both of his hands, his warmth steadying me. I hadn't realised my breath has quickened until I could finally sit upright.

I picked up my camera, aiming at the area where he pointed. Mentally squealing, I snapped a picture of Erza and Jellal spreading icing on each other's faces, and coincidentally, next to them was Lucy, Natsu and Happy. Lucy and Natsu both held stuffed toys of a dragon and a heart.

There was a scream from the other side of the carriage. "It sounds like Levy! Hurry Laxus!"

Gripping both sides of his face, I prepared myself to balance whilst he walked to the other side of the carriage. Giving a breath of relief, I smirked as I took an excellent picture of Levy and Gajeel on one of those haunted roller coaster rides.

I tapped Laxus' hair to get me down. Without a word, he placed me back down on the floor, gripping my arm to support me. Both of us sat down next to each other on the bench, examining all the pictures.

I grinned at my photography skills, and also at my ships getting closer together.

The carriage finally stopped, the doors opening to let the next visitors to enter. As I stepped back out into the sunlight, I placed my hands on my hips, satisfied.

My work for today was done.
