TUESDAY NIGHT, 6:00pm

Star sat in her room with Tom, as they studied. He was telling her a story but her mind wandered to the hospital last night.

LAST NIGHT FLASHBACK

"Marco? Are you okay? Can you hear me?"

Nothing. She sighed and rubbed her thumb over his knuckles as she gripped his hand.

"... Star..."

He mumbled. She sat up and leaned closer to him.

"I'm here, Marco. You're gonna be okay."

She rubbed his face, moving his hair to the side. She touched the hearts on one of his cheeks and smiled.

"Wow. That was some stunt you pulled back there. You're a wild man."

She studied his face. He was really cute. No scratch that. He was beyond cute. He was really handsome. The most handsome guy she's ever seen besides Justin Towers from her favorite band. She stared at him dreamily, until a yawn snapped her out her thoughts and she sat back down.

"Sleep tight, wild man."

"...mm... toffee..."

"Wait... Toffee?"

END OF FLASHBACK

"Star?"

"Huh?"

She noticed Tom waving his hand in her face.

"Someone drifted off into space I see."

"Sorry... I was just... thinking.."

Tom smirked.

"Thinking about the dork with the heart cheeks huh?"

Star began turning red.

"No no!! It's not about him!"

"Then what?"

She looked around the room biting her lip, nervously.

"Uh.. I was thinking about... joining the soccer team!"

"Really? Soccer?"

Star nodded smiling anxiously, hoping he would buy it.

"Oh.. well we could go check it out when your wrist is all better. We can ALSO check out the white lie store."

She smiled nervously, and kissed his cheek. There was a knock on the door.

"Oh! I got it."

She hopped off the bed and to the door. When she opened it, she saw Marco standing there. He looked worried.

"What do you want!?"

She whisper-yelled.

"I need your help with something-"

She panicked, and slammed the door in his face.

"Who was it?"

"Uhh... it was Angela!!"

"Who the hell is Angela?"

Star grabbed a random book off the desk and walked back to the door.

"She's in my class! And uh... and just wants to go over some notes! Be right back."

She walked outside, closing the door behind her. Marco stood there looking confused as ever.

"Okay. What's up?"

"I just came to apologize... for your injury... and Jackie.."

Star rolled her eyes and shrugged.

"Apology accepted for the injury. But not for Crackie."

Marco chuckled and rubbed his neck.

"And also.. thanks for staying with me at the nurse's office. You saved my butt."

He said in a sympathetic tone. She couldn't help but smile just a little.

"That's what best friends are for. Now what'd you need my help with?"

"Well..."

Marco clutched his wand tight.

"It's my dreams.. their getting.. out of control. In a bad way."

Star scrunched her eyebrows together, concerned.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know! But ever since the night we went to the ice cream place, I've been getting night terrors."

"You mean nightmares?"

"Yeah, whatever."

She looked at the book in her hands. It was a random, empty red notebook.

"I have an idea. Here."

She handed him the book and he looked at it.

"Whenever you have another nightmare, just write it down. Everything you see, hear, touch, or smell. Everywhere you go, people you come across? It should help."

Marco nodded and smiled at her again, sighing in relief.

"Thanks again, Star. You really are a.. great best friend."

A blush crept upon her cheeks as she smiled. He leaned close to her, pulling her into a hug. She hugged him back, a little on her tip toes.

"Heh.. um.. okay well I gotta go now. My study buddy is crazy!"

Marco chuckled as they pulled away. He smiled one last time, walking away.

"Hey Star!?..... is everything alright?"

"Yeah Tom, shut up! I'm coming..."
