AT THE BALL

Marco stands around, talking to some random demons.

".... and then my wand blasted us to the roof! But it wasn't supposed to do that. I don't know how to use it really.."

He babbles on and on and on about random stuff.

"Hey Marco! There you are."

Janna comes up.

"I was just talking to some guy over there by the pictures. You wanna um... get our picture taken?"

"Yeah sure! Sounds fun. Bye new friends!"

Marco follows Janna to a line where people were getting their pictures taken, then being dumped in..

"Wait... Is that... blood?"

"Yeah! Its gonna be pretty cool to be covered in blood with you. But don't worry! I heard Its unicorn blood."

"Uh... I don't think that's cool. My best friend happens to be a unicorn."

"Well... they're not related, right?"

"Thanks but I'm not having unicorn blood dumped on me, Janna.."

"But-"

"Janna no. Alright? You do you, Babe. I'm gonna go.. over there.."

Janna balls up her fists, as Marco walks to the refreshments table. A stubby, short demon appears behind him and he turns around.

"You must be Prince Marco. Of Mewni. You're Janna's man aren't you?"

"Uh.. ex man. But its a party so I guess?"

Marco shrugs. Another demon, a tall, skinny lady one taps his shoulder.

"You want to dance, your highness?"

"Oh! Well Uh-"

"His dance card's full."

Janna appears again.

"Oh, I think I get it."

The tall, woman demon speaks.

"You think that your soul and his soul are like... gonna mmmmmm!"

She says, interlocking her fingers together.

"Uh.. What the hell is...'mmmmmm'?"

Marco asks, interlocking his fingers together. Janna squeals as one of the demons spills his drink on her.

"Ug!! You idiot!! Marco I'll be right back. Stay here."

She walks away. There's a loud tap on the microphone, and everyone looks towards the sound booth. A guy speaks.

"Ahem.. Ladies and gentledemons. It is my pleasure that I ask you to turn your heads upward, towards the sky."

Everyone looks upward in the ballroom, as a crescent-shaped opening appears on the ceiling.

"When the light of the blood moon shines down and picks two lucky souls, it will bind them together for eternity in its hypnotic, ruby glow."

"Whoooaaa.. that's so cool."

Marco whispers, wandering the ballroom. He walks around mindlessly, examining the room. A masked figure squeezes through some demons.
