Chapter 5: Who You Gonna Call?

FRIDAY

As the week goes on, Friday comes fast, and Halloween is in one month. The Mewnian sits in the lobby, trying to do some homework. But his best friend, Prince Pony Head, won't let him focus.

"Yo Earth Turd! How could you think about Halloween when the Blood Moon Ball is around the corner!?"

Marco rolls his eyes at the new nickname he gives him and shrugs, writing in his red notebook. Pony floats around on his tiny pocket mirror.

"That stupid ball should've happened a long time ago. It's late. No one's gonna go."

He looks up at Pony and smiles.

"BUT if it were to happen? Who would you take?"

Pony frowns.

"Why are you lookin at me like that?"

"Oh no reason... so how's that alien Princess?"

"Mhm.. she dumped my ass. Good thing I had some backups."

Marco raises his eyebrow.

"Backups?"

"Yep. Like Eva. And Ashley. And Jade, Plata and Onyx."

"Wow. That's a lot of constants. How many of them are actually princesses? Or Ponies?"

Marco smirks deviously, breaking into laughter as Pony's eyes widen.

"Hey! No fair! I love my women in all shapes and forms! Royal or not!"

"You set yourself up for that, Pony."

Marco closes his book and wipes his eye.

"Okay then. Tell me this. Who YOU gonna call? Star Johansen.."

Marco looks off to the left direction at Star, who was playing foos ball.

"Or Ms Jackie Lynn Thomas?"

He then looks behind him, as she was walking up. Marco's smile disappears and Pony smiles deviously.

"Bye bye now!"

"Wait! Don't leave me alone with-"

Pony hangs up. Marco frowns.

"Guess who!?"

Two pairs of hands cover his eyes. He chuckles nervously and shrugs.

"Uh... is it a pretty girl?"

"Getting close."

"Well i-it must be Jackie."

"Ding ding ding!"

Jackie leans over the couch, kissing the heart on his cheek. He smiles and melts at that feeling.

"Sorry I can't stay. I got a class in 3 minutes, but I'll see you later tonight?"

"Are you asking me on a... a date?"

She nods, poking out her bottom lip.

"And I'm hoping you say.. yes?"

He smiles at her face.

"I can't say no to that. It's a date."

Jackie hops up and down, pulling him into a hug. He hugs back as she kisses his cheek again.
