Chapter 34~ Awkwardness

Sqaishey's pov

The warm rays of the rising sun woke me early the next morning. I smiled as I fluttered my eyes open when I set my eyes on the open window. I moved my head slightly to see Stampy was hugging me and had a face full of hair! I quickly realized he was still asleep. I moved as quietly and quickly as I could so I wouldn't wake him up.

After a while, I stood at the foot of the bed, I took a glance at Stampy peacefully dreaming... Dreaming dreams I will probably never hear of.

I smiled as I opened the door, I walked down the stairs, into the kitchen. I made myself a cup of tea, then I sat on the sofa waiting for Stampy to wake up. I took a sip of my tea and I watched the stairs as both Amy and Squid opened their doors, then stomped passed each other. When they crossed paths, they muttered a cold "Hi" and kept stomping away. I was perplexed as to why they did that to each other.

I took another sip of my tea, with my eyes aimed up the stairs... still waiting for them to cross each other's paths.

Finally, I hear doors slam, then Amy and Squid cross each other's paths, this time - they stop. They both looked very mad at each other. When Amy starts yelling at Squid, and Squid also started to shout. I stood up, walked up half the stairs, and said "Stop yelling, Stampy is still asleep, and you two shouting isn't going to fix whatever argument you two have." They both stared at me, then Squid began to tell Amy "You see Amy, why can't you care about me the way she cares about Stampy?!" Then her face got red with anger, and she replied "Don't compare me to her!" Then they fought more! Until Amy was on the verge of tears, and she said "You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul." Then she pushed passed Squid and she ran -tears streaming down her face- into the Lovely Duckies room she slammed the door shut. Squid stared blankly at where Amy had been standing. He soon began to sniff, then he stomped into his room, then he shut the door. I stood there frozen on the stairs, not knowing what to do...

As I stood on the stairs, a very sleepy Stampy came out of his room. He rubbed his beautiful sleepy eyes then he came over to me. He yawned, then said "Sorry, Good Morning Sqaishey... How did you sleep?" "Good Morning Stampy! I slept very well, how about you Love?" I said smiling as I glanced to see that he wore his baggy grey sweatpants and my Sqaishey Quack Merch T-shirt. Stampy smiled then said "I slept well... actually, that was the best rest I've had in quite a while!"

Stampy's pov

Did she just call me 'Love?' I asked myself in my head as I looked down at Sqaishey. I let a smile break my stiff lips, as I saw her smile when she noticed I was wearing her Sqaishey Quack Merch T-shirt. I saw her beautiful blue eyes light up, then return their gaze to my face. Then I realized I was thinking for too much, and I was getting very silent... I better answer her question I thought as I noticed she was still waiting for a reply.

"I slept well... actually, that was the best rest I've had in quite a while!" I said. It was the truth too! Since I had been with Sqaishey, I was sleeping better! She is always so happy, energetic, loving, caring... perfect... my Miracle Duck... But tonight was different. Only knowing she was mine was already a good feeling! But having her sleeping next to me... was an even greater feeling. I already know, after sleeping in the same bed with the person you love, is such a great feeling! But then sleeping in your lonely bed the next night, won't feel as great.

I'm staring into Bethany's beautiful eyes while thinking everything. I'm zoning out too much!! I stood at the top of the stairs, looking into her eyes, and smiling like an idiot! I didn't even hear what she asked me next! I snapped out of it and I stupidly asked "Huh?"

Great! Good Job Joseph! Now she'll think you weren't listing to her! She'll think you don't love her! You should've replied earlier with 'Love' just like she did to you! Now your done for! She'll give you the ring back and you'll never find anyone like her again! You'll never find anything as blue as those eyes, nope! Nothing! Not the sky, not the ocean, not paint, not ANYTHING! You'll never love anyone more than her... and you'll never find anyone who loves you as much as her! You'll never find anyone else... because they all think your a nerd! All this negativity rushed through my mind as I stared into those ocean blue eyes of hers.

To my surprise, she giggled asked "Do you want some waffles?" I smiled, stepped down a few steps, hung my arm around her shoulders pulling her slightly closer and said "Yeah, waffles sound good" She smiled and pecked my lips. Nothing is softer than those pink lips of hers my thoughts echoed.

~Time Skip~

We finished eating breakfast when a very tired Amy came walking sideways down the stairs. She sat down on the sofa, her hair was messily half up - half down, she wore a very loose grey shirt, shorts you could barely see, she also had red puffy eyes and she was holding her head. Amy let her head fall back as she began to quietly moan.
Then a door seemed to slam. Down the stairs came down a very energetic Squid. He had his hair done, a grey shirt, red pants and black shoes.

I put my warm tea down (which Sqaishey had made), looked over at Sqaishey while she also shot her ocean blue eyes at me.

-There was a hostile environment about-

Squid looked at Amy and said "Good Morning Amy, how are you?" Then Amy opened her red angry eyes at him then closed them again without saying anything. Then Squid said "Amy, I'm sorry for what I said. You know I didn't mean one word of it, don't you?" Amy slowly nodded her now agitated head. "Amy...I love you and the baby... you know that -right?" Again, Amy nodded her head in agreement. "Are you still mad at me then?" Asked Squid... Then Amy said "Just go wherever you're going Squid Nugget." Squid then grabbed the keys and left.
Amy sighed then said out loud "I'm sorry both of you had to listen to us fighting." Sqaishey being the kind-hearted ducky she is, said "As long as you two are not fighting anymore" Amy gave in to a weak smile, before getting up then walking towards the counter to make herself some cereal.

Shortly after, I asked Sqaishey if she wanted to go look at the house for sale across the street. There was an open house today and I wanted to bring Sqaishey along to properly look at the house... she agreed, got dressed and we walked across the street...
