Zoë Elliot

A month before graduation also a week before prom. I'm so anxious to graduate and move away but then again I've never experienced moving away from my love ones so I know I'm going to miss them.

I'm more worried about Tamir than myself at the moment. He really doesn't have any plans after high school which I hate. I don't want him being another guy from the hood that didn't do anything with his life. He says nothing interest him so he doesn't know what he wants to do. I know it's something he'll enjoy doing, he just has to find it.

It's been a little over three weeks now since we've completely stopped ducking and dodging the undercover investigators. Javeer was taken to ask some questions and I guess all of his lies were well enough for them to get off the hook. That doesn't mean they won't be back to find some dirt on them though.

I can't wait for all of this shit ends.

"Hey Zoë, do you have a pencil I can borrow?" One of my classmates, Gabriel, politely asked from beside me.

"Yeah, sure." I handed her the pencil out of my hand before looking in my purse for another one.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." I checked to see if the pencil had any lead. It did so I went back to doing my class work.

I looked up to see Averi's late ass trying to sneak into the classroom. Our teacher caught her just when she was closing the door.

"Ms. Graham. What's your excuse this time?" Mr. Wesley asked from across the room.

"See what had happen was. My mother's car broke down then when she got it fixed a horse was in the way-. You know what, just give me a tardy. I don't have time to lie." She said before taking her seat beside me.

Mr. Wesley chuckled a little before excusing her just because she decided not to lie this time. She did a little happy dance before leaning over to say something to me.

"Hey best friend!" She smiled, rubbing her hands through my hair.

"Hey girl," I laughed turning around to look at her. "Please tell me you have some food."

"Of course. That's why I was late trying to go to McDonald's for a damn frappé. I got some gummy bears and chips. You can have both." She rambled through her book bag and gave me the chips and gummy bears.

"Thank you. You're a life saver."

"No problem. I'm glad you decided to get cute today." She smiled once again.

"Why is that?"

"Oh, no reason." She quickly said and turned around in her seat. I looked at her weirdly before turning around in my seat to finish up my homework.

I was almost finished with my work until I heard the classroom door open. You can't help but to look up when someone enter the classroom especially when the door is loud as ever. I widen my eyes as I saw Tamir coming in with a huge bouquet of roses along with Deia behind him who had tons of balloons while she held a pillow with a tiara on it.
