The next afternoon Jacob, Joel and Brendon were preparing to head to a zoo. They would be gone overnight, so Dallon had offered to stay with Troye, Ryan and Riley. It was too much walking for Troye, and too cold for Riley.
"You be good," Jacob said as he kissed Troye goodbye. "Don't cause any trouble, and if you need anything do not hesitate to call. I love you."
Troye smiled and kissed Jacob one more time before leaning down and hugging Joel goodbye. "I'll be good, and I'm sure that we will be fine. I love you too."
Ryan sat up on the counter, watching the couple interact. You could tell they were in love, just by the way they looked at one another. It was adorable, and Ryan was jealous.
The honey-brown eyed hybrid held onto Riley, who was working his way through a bottle while half asleep. He was absolutely adorable. Ryan had always wanted to have kittens too, despite not being physically able to carry them himself. Brendon had even said that they may be able to adopt, but he had a slight feeling that that would not be happening now. Maybe he would get to help with Dallon and Brendon's if they ever adopted. He scrunched up his nose. He didn't want them to have kids.
Brendon did not even kiss Ryan goodbye before leaving. Then again, Ryan did not expect him to. He had stopped doing that ages ago. All the hybrid got was a quick "goodbye". Ryan sighed before sliding off of the counter and walking over to the window where Troye was standing, looking out while the two humans and the kitten were driving away. "That sucked," he said, laying his ears back and glaring at the car.
Troye just gave him an unsure smile and a hug. "At least we have the house basically to ourselves for the next couple of days, yeah?"
"Mhm," Ryan said.
"Hey, don't let this upset you. We can have a lot of fun! Like we can Skype my friends who are back in LA! I haven't talked to a few of them in quite a while."
Ryan nodded with a huff, watching Troye let the curtain fall back into place. "I guess that'd be cool."
"Come on then."
They wandered past Dallon who was in the living room and went to the master bedroom, picking up Brendon's laptop. They went to Ryan's room and put Riley on the floor, handing him some toys to play with while the older ones laid on the bed and opened the laptop.
The second the computer was open, Ryan froze and his eyes widened:
25 year old neko for sale. Ryan is a 5'10, 140lb neko that needs a new home. He is well trained and submissive. He is crate trained, though because of his height he does not like being in crates. He does well with sleeping on the floor or in separate beds though, with no complaints. While he is older, he still plays like a kitten and loves being around other nekos. He needs lots of attention to keep from getting bored. While it would be the buyers choice whether or not he got to keep in contact with his old friends, he does have a best friend that he likes to Skype sometimes. It would be nice for him to keep in touch with him. I love Ryan and will only allow him to go to the best home. Asking $35 000.
Below the main paragraph there was contact information and another section that said what colour his eyes and hair were and his breeding.
"What does it say?" Troye asked. He could tell that Ryan was upset, but he could not read the words. The only words he really recognized were 'Ryan' and 'neko', but he was having trouble reading the rest. "Ryan, what does it say?"
Ryan did not answer Troye's question, instead slamming the laptop shut (too hard for the machine's own good) and stomping out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him. Troye jumped off of the bed and crawled after his friend, reaching up to open the door and hurrying down the hallway, Riley following him at a much slower pace. He flinched when he heard yelling, peering around the corner to see Ryan lashing out at Dallon, his teeth bared.
"This is all your fault!" he screamed, his ears pinned and tail whipping back and forth. "You're the reason he hates me!"
Dallon, who had innocently been scrolling through twitter, looked up at the neko with a confused and shocked expression. "What are you talking about?"
"You made Brendon hate me! He loved me first, why did you have to meet him?! If you never showed up he would still be playing songs with me, sleeping with me, and telling me that he loved me! Now he just ignores me and doesn't want me around anymore!"
Dallon stood up, which made Ryan step back the slightest bit. "Listen, Ryan. I don't know what you're even talking about, but I know for a fact that Brendon still does love you. I also know that he would not be happy with the way that you're acting right now so-"
"If he loved me would he be selling me?"
Dallon and Troye both gasped at the same time, neither of them expecting him to say that. Sure, Ryan had talked about how Brendon was probably going to sell him, but neither of them actually expected him to do so. "Brendon wouldn't sell you-"
"Dallon. The ad is open on his laptop." Ryan had stopped yelling and calmed down, getting down on all fours and slinking towards Troye. "It's all over, he doesn't love me or want me anymore."
