Troye and Joel both took one of Jacob's hands and dragged him towards the bakery, their tails straight up in excitement. They made their way into the store and started to look around, dropping Jacob's hands and pulling on their leashes as they sniffed around. Joel was able to pull a lot more because he had on a harness instead of having the leash attached to his collar, but he was pretty small compared to Jacob. The cashier watched them as they pressed their noses against the glass display cases, not seeming to be too impressed by their lack of manners.

Usually Troye would correct Joel when he pulled and ran, but he was doing the exact same thing at that point. "You two need to calm down a bit," Jacob said, acting before they got kicked out. Some stores still were not too keen on having nekos brought in as many viewed them as pets, but if they were polite there was really no reason to kick them out. At this point they were not cooperating. Joel was acting as if he had never broken his arm or been given medication to calm him down and Troye was acting the same as he did when Jacob first got him and he would get playful, not like an adult hybrid with two kids and counting.

"Can we get this one?" Joel asked, pointing through the glass at a cake that was styled to look like a ladybug.

"No," Troye said, pointing at a strawberry shortcake. "We should get this one!"

"No Daddy! I want this one!"

"But Daddyyyyy!" Troye's eyes widened when he realized what he had said, his cheeks heating up as he giggled. "I mean Jayyyyy."

Jacob raised his eyebrows as he looked at Troye. His cheeks were rosy and he was looking down, fiddling with the end of his tail. "Well. I think we should go with the one that Joel wants, don't you agree Troye? He was told that he got to choose if he was good for the doctor, and he was. We can come back and get the strawberry one some other time."

"But I want that one!" Troye pinned his ears and stomped his foot, something that had not happened in forever.

"That's too bad, isn't it? We'll take the ladybug cake."

"Thank you daddy!" Joel said, hopping over to Jacob and reaching up to be picked up. Jacob balanced the neko on his hip and payed with the other, ignoring the way Troye was acting. That is until it was time to leave the shop and Troye refused to move.

"I want that cake!" he whined, pointing to the strawberry one. He had a pout on his face as Jacob lightly pulled on his leash. The only reason he had one on is because this was a store, but Jacob was thankful that he had it on.

"Troye, you're making a scene. We need to go home now, and if you don't listen you will not be getting any of this cake."

"But I don't want that cake!"

"Then don't eat it. I don't want Joel to see you acting like this. Get to the car." Troye still refused to move, just glaring at Jacob through narrowed eyes. He could not make him go, not with Joel there too. "Joel, I need you to walk for me bud."

Joel just shrugged as he was set on the ground, peeking into the bag that held his cake. Jacob scooped Troye up and threw him over his shoulder, walking out of the bakery before his husband could react. "PUT ME DOWN!" Troye hissed, pounding on Jacob's back and wiggling around. Jacob held onto him tightly and watched Joel as they made their way to the car, a couple people turning their heads at the hissing and yelling. Jacob opened the car door and dropped Troye into his seat before getting Joel into his car seat and bucking him in. "Make sure you hold your arm up okay bud? It'll help keep it from hurting too badly." Joel nodded and did as he was told. Meanwhile Troye had curled up into a position that made it impossible for Jacob to buckle him, and he obviously was not in the mood to do it himself.

"Put your seat belt on now, Troye. We have to go home."

"No!" Troye swatted his hand at Jacob when his owner tried to reach across him, which made Jacob snap.

"You're lucky I don't spank you right here and now!" His voice was angry as he grabbed onto Troye's collar and pulled him to a sitting position. "You better straighten out your attitude, Troye."

Troye hissed in response, trying to wiggle away from Jacob despite the threats, not getting far because of grip Jacob had on his collar. Troye kept going though, even though he could barely breathe. He had forgotten the cake, now he was just mad for no reason.

"Quit it!" Jacob snapped, reaching across Troye to grab his seatbelt. Troye darted forward and sunk his teeth into Jacob's arm, eyes widening the second he realized what he had done. Jacob's hand that had been holding onto Troye's collar let go and flew to his arm, gripping the spot that had been bitten.

Troye looked at him with wide eyes for a split second before he opened the door and darted out of the car, leaving Joel and Jacob in the car as he cried, mentally screaming at himself.

"D-dad? Is Daddy in trouble?" Joel asked, his ears gently laying back because he was unsure.

"Of course he is, Joel. You know that you don't act like that, and he does to. He will be punished accordingly."

Joel frowned. He didn't like getting in trouble, he didn't want his dad to. "Okay."

"I'll be back. You sit tight."

Joel nodded and watched as his dad got out of the car and go over to his other dad, who had sat on the grass and was crying into his knees. Well, that was eventful.
