double update xD

For the next week Troye did not speak to anyone. Not Jacob, Joel, Riley or even Mikey when him and Pete came to visit. Troye refused to leave the bedroom at all. He had only left to go to the attic and bring his old cage down and to find a blanket that was not being used. Now he spent all of his days curled up in his cage, only leaving to stretch and drink the water that Jacob had to leave in a bowl near the door.

Troye had also stopped eating regularly. He never touched the food that Jacob brought him, and he was quite obviously losing weight. His ribs showed and his cheeks were hollow, but he did not care. Luana did not get to eat, why should he?

"Troye," Jacob said softly, walking into the room and crouching down at the door to Troye's cage.

Troye of course did not say anything, silently reaching out and grabbing the door of his cage to shut it. Jacob sighed but did not say anything on the matter.

"I brought you some food. I would really like it if you ate it."

Of course you would, Troye thought.

"Please kitty? I need you to eat something. If you don't I'll have to take you to see Dr. Iero again."

Troye looked up at Jacob at those words with a glare before looking back at the wall.

"Look... Come out for a moment and I will stop bugging you."

Troye thought that sounded fair enough. He slowly opened the cage and climbed out, stretching like a cat before he stood up. He still didn't make eye contact with Jacob, looking at his hands instead.

"Take off your shirt."

Troye shook his head.

"Now."

Troye shook his head again. There was no way he was doing that.

Jacob huffed quietly and reached out to do it himself, easily uncovering the struggling neko. He was only like 110 pounds, after all. Jacob looked down at the hybrid sadly as Troye hurried to cross his arms over his chest, trying hide himself from Jacob's gaze.

"Oh Troye," Jacob muttered, pulling Troye's arms away from his body. "You're so thin. This isn't okay."

No shit, Sherlock. Troye pulled his arms away from Jacob and walked away from him, picking up a new shirt since Jacob was clutching onto the other one. He pulled it over his head and silently walked to the bathroom, walking straight past Jacob and into his cage when he returned. He curled up into a ball with a huff, his tail flicking and his ears back.

"I'm calling Dr. Iero, since you won't eat."

Troye shrugged. It's not like the doctor would be able to do anything. He was done with listening to humans and their shitty plans for him. He was part human, after all. A very small part, really, but still. He should be able to make his own decisions and live the way he wanted to in the human world. He had served for long enough.

Troye shut his eyes to show that he was not going to listen anymore, only opening them when he heard Jacob walk out of the room and shut the door behind him. Troye sat up and stretched as much as his cage would allow, puffing his tail out. He took it in his hands and ran his fingers through the fur. It wasn't as fluffy and shiny as it usually was. He pouted. Of course, he knew that it was because he had not been eating healthily. He dropped his tail back down and flopped back down onto his blankets. Oh well. His tail was not going to change his mind about this whole situation.

Troye pulled a mouse toy closer to him and darted his tongue out, running it over the thing's fur. He then took part of the mouse into his mouth and but down, the toy making a crinkly sound. Troye debated on getting out of the cage and playing with it, but he decided against that thought. Surely Jacob would hear him and then he would be coming back upstairs and being annoying again.

It's not like Troye did not understand what he was doing to his body. It was pretty stressful to him too; he was quite fond of his form. But he knew that he could not be selfish. No, he deserved to not eat. He also stopped taking his pain medicine. At first the feeling of fire going through his body was enough to make him nauseous, but now he was used to it. It kind of just went numb after a while.

Troye rolled over on his back, his bare legs sticking out of the kennel door. He reached up and stuck his fingers through the bars, doing this to every space as he counted. There was thirty across. More than he had expected.

Troye got bored of counting quickly and turned back over to lay on his side. He drew his legs back in and pulled the door closed with his toes. He scrunched up his nose when he saw that he needed to paint his toe nails again. He did not like having chipped paint on. It was the least he could do to look nicer.

Again, Troye pushed open the door of his cage and got out. He crawled to the bathroom and dug through a cabinet, pulling out some nail polish remover, cotton pads and then some deep red polish. He stayed on the tile floor as he rubbed the old yellow paint off and replaced it as he was not allowed to paint on the carpet. Once he was done Troye just laid on the cool tile floor, wiggling his toes when Jacob walked in unexpectedly to let the human know he was not dead or dying.

Once his paint job was done, Troye packed everything back away and crawled back to the bedroom, climbing into his cage and curling up.

This time he really did fall asleep.
