Jun and Jalani's mother in the media.

Jun POV

I was in this old warehouse on the other side of town with JT waiting to get introduced to his boss. "You sure you wanna do this? Cause once you get in this shit. Gonna be hell trying to get out of it." He asked me while he rolled a blunt. I slowly nodded in response and he looked up from his blunt at me. I nodded my head again "yeah man" I assured him.

Or was I trying to assure myself. I wish who ever his boss was would hurry up. It was a little pass midnight and I left Jalani at home herself. Headlights beemed through the shades, brightening up the dim room that was only lit by the small lamp on the table infront of JT.

JT peeked through the blinds before going over to the door and unlocking it. In stepped a tall dread head. He was dark skin and was built. JT tapped me to stand up and greet the man. "I hope this is worth me missing out on what I was doing at home." the guy said looking aggravated with JT.

"I promise you he worth. Jun over here plan on being part of the team." JT said roughly patting my back. The guy looked at me and I nodded backing JT up on his word. "Is that so?" the man asked staring really hard at me which made me more nervous.

JT looked at me gesturing for me to speak. "Yes sir. I needa help my mama and sister out. I heard this was the quickest way to do that." I said trying to keep bass in my voice. He nodded his head before leaning on the desk. "You a hard worker son?" he asked me making direct eye contact. I returned the look and nodded causing JT to nudge me.

"I apologize. Yes sir. I am a hard worker." I answered properly. He tilted his head before standing up and walking closer to me. I remained with a blank face trying not to seem intimated by him. He towered over my height and his eyebrows furrowed together. "You Janet son right?" he asked saying my mother's name and I nodded.

"Yes sir." I said clearing my throat. A small smile creeped on his face. He pulled out a already rolled blunt and pinched it between his lips. He lit it and took a pull from it, inhaling then blowing smoke out. "I know ya family. Sorry hear about Michael. Anyway if you as much of a hard worker as ya mama then we should have no problems. Cause that woman there is a workaholic." he chuckled and I gave a small smile.

He placed his hand firmly on my shoulder. I fanned away the smoke that he had blew in my face trying not to cough. "Ima trust you with my business. There's just one rule to go by." he said looking me in my eyes. I wanted badly to look away but I kept the stare. "Don't fuck up." he said seriously waiting for me to respond. "Yes sir." "So you in or what mama's boy?" he said taking a seat behind the desk.

I watched as he held the blunt between his lips and took out a small black suitcase. He opened up pulling out a black glock and holding it up. My heart started racing as I saw the piece of metal come towards me. I realized I haven't answered his question.

Now afraid to even say no. "Yes sir" I said and he approached me passing me the gun. He smiled and pat my back roughly. I looked down at the gun relieved that he was just giving it to me. "Good. Welcome to the family young blood. Your training starts tomorrow after school. 5pm sharp. Be here."

I nodded my head and with that he made his way to the door before nodding his head at JT in approval. When he walked out I let out a breath I didnt know I was holding in.

There was banging on my bedroom door. I had got in from being with JT at 2something and only got like 4 hours to sleep. I closed my eyes and was dozing back off until the knocks started back up. "Junior get ya ass up and get ready for school right now!" mama yelled trying to twist the doorknob.
