*a few days later*

Amari POV

"Girl what's been up with you?" Tasha sitting indian style across from me on my bed. It has been like 3 days since the incident with my dad and I haven't really talked to people since then. The house was full of tension and daddy barely said anything to me. I don't know if he really upset with me or feels guilty.

Honestly Im still shocked at the fact that he put his hands on me. After all these years he never laid a finger on me. Yeah he yelled but I never thought I would see the day that he would get physical with me. It hurt me deeply. I kept telling myself if mama was here it wouldn't have gotten to this point.

I've been stuck upstairs in my room everyday since then. Like daddy said I was to report to school and right back home. He took my car keys and had JT pick me up and drop me off at school. I haven't talked to Jun since Saturday and I know he probably worried. He'd try to spark conversation in school but I didn't really talk.

When he ask me whats wrong I would quickly change subject and try to lighten the mood. He questioned the small mark underneathe my left eye but I told him I woke up like that. Both him and Tasha been calling my phone nonstop but I didn't answer. Finally I guess Tasha got tired of trying to contact me through phone and came over.

We were in my room finishing up this Spanish project. I still hadn't answered Tasha's question as I continued to type away on my laptop. I heard her suck her teeth before she shut my laptop almost catching my fingers in it. I look at her like she was crazy.

"I know you heard me." she said firmly with a serious look on her face. "Nothing I just haven't been feeling like being social." I shrugged trying to open up my laptop. She gave me a look with the most deadliest glare. "What Tasha!" I yelled after seconds of her glaring at me like I did something bad.

"Lie again. I also know that bruise aint happen when you were sleeping because you aren't a rough sleeper." she said making me sigh. I really didn't want to get on this topic with her right now. "We should really get this powerpoint together Tasha." I said trying to change the subject.

"Don't make me tickle you." she threaten and I looked up at her from my laptop. "You wouldn't dare." I mumbled, her off all people knew how I felt about being 'tickled'. One of the things I hated the most. She smirked at me and I gripped the sides of my laptop. She leaped over too quick and grabbed me.

"Tasha!" I yelled and then started laughing and squirming uncontrollably as she tickled my sides. I was laughing so hard I was in tears and my sides started hurting from laughing so hard. I was laughing so much it started getting difficult to breathe finally I gave in. "O-okay! Tasha! Stoopp!" I said between laughs but she didn't stop immediately.

"You gonna tell me what's wrong" she said still ticking at my stomach. I nodded as tears rolled down my cheeks. She removed her hands and got pack in her position. I sat up holding my sides and catching my breath. As I wiped my tears I glared at her and she smiled innocently.

"I hate you." I mumbled removing my glasses and running my fingers through my hair. She giggled, "oh please you love my ass. Now quit stalling and spill it. Did something happen on the date?" she asked giving me her undivided attention. I smiled thinking back on the date.

Her jaw dropped as she gasped before she hit my thigh. "Yall didn't!" she yelled with a big smile and I looked at her crazy. "What? No! No Tasha we did not have sex. Hardly even kissed." I said rolling my eyes at the end. "What do you mean hardly?" she questioned with her eyebrows furrowed together.

I sighed and began telling her about our date of course I told her about me going to his neighborhood. "Wait. You went on the westside? Girl are you crazy?" she said sounding like my father. I rolled my eyes at that. "Girl you sound like my dad. It is not that bad!" I said and she waved me off.
