Amari POV
I was in the parking lot of Mariah's school waiting on her to come outside. I was on my phone playing candy crush while I waited. Shortly I lifted my head up to see my little sister running over to the car with a big smile on her face. I smiled and unlocked the passenger side seconds before she swung the door open.
"Longest day ever" she said panting with her hand over her heart. I laughed at how dramatic this little girl is. I cranked up the car and backed out of the parking space. "Who you telling girl. How was your day?" I asked turning down the radio. "Good. I made you a card in art class." she said as we stopped at a stop sign.
I then heard ruffling before getting poked on my arm by a piece of paper. I glimpsed down at it before taking it. I kept glimpsing down at it making sure I focused on the road. "Aww. My head is not that big!" I said making her giggle. "Well I messed up a little but you do sorta have a big head." she said making me gasp and look at her.
"You got some nerve to talk about somebody's head." I said before hearing another one of my songs some on. "Mari turn it up!" Mariah said making me laugh and I did. I always enjoyed our times like this. Our car rides where we would sing terribly at the top of our lungs and dance like nobody's watching. Don't get me started when it Tasha included.
I swear this girl was my ray of sunshine in my darkest days. I laughed and was amused as Mariah sung all of Nicki's part on No love word per word without a mistake. We soon pulled up to the house and I turned down the radio. "I sure hope you know your school work like that." I teased and she sucked her teeth while playfully rolling her eyes.
"Of course." she said opening up her door and getting out. I took the keys out of the ignition before getting my things and getting out. I handed Mariag the house key while I grabbed my flowers and balloons from the backseat. "Ooo those are pretty. Were they from Jun?" she asked referring to the flowers as I sat them down on the coffee table.
I smiled and nodded my head before kicking my shoes off in the den. Mariah followed me into the kitchen where I began taking things out to make a sundae. As I sat the whip cream down on the island infront of Mariah I stopped. She looked at me with furrow brows as I tapped on the counter.
"You don't think its too cold for ice cream?" I asked her and we both put our index fingers on our chin thinking before looking at each other. "Nah" we said in unison shaking our heads before giggling. I prepared me and Mariah sundae before jogging upstairs to my room to change into something more comfy.
I opened the door and turned on the lights almost having a heart attack. I never screamed so loud before. I sucked my teeth as I placed my hand over my heart feeling it race. "Haven't your mama ever told you not to sneak up in someone's room and scare them?" I said throwing a slipper at him.
He laughed ducking from the slipper. He got up from the bed and walked over to the window shutting it. "Haven't your father told you never to keep your windows unlocked" he said in a mocking tone. I rolled my eyes walking over to my dresser and pulling out some sweats and a crop top with a pair of my fuzzy socks.
I grabbed a hair tie and put my hair up in a ponytail. "Hope you not wearing that out tonight." he said as I slipped into my bathroom and shut the door. "I had no intensions on going out tonight" I said as I finished changing and opened the door to him towering me. He had a mischievous grin on his face and I frowned before groaning aggravated.
"Jun!" I yelled hitting him in the chest. He chuckled holding my hand on his chest. "What?" he asked acting innocent. "Where are we going?" I asked snatching my hand back and folding them across my chest. "Its a surprise duhh." he said nudging my head almost making me lose my balance. I mugged him about to hit him but he quickly grabbed my arms holding them over my head.
