"What?" Jalani asked as her purse fell from her finger tips. Tears instantly started slipping from her eyes. "Im so sorry Jalani." I whispered seeing her break down as Tasha hugged her to comfort her. I felt bad watching her sob into Tasha's shoulder. This night was not suppose to be like this.
"Hello?" Jun called in my ear. I had almost forgotten that he was on the phone.
"Yes Jun?"
"We have to go. Now."
"What happened?"
"Amari there's no time to explain. Meet me at the bus stop by the hospital in 45 minutes."
"Which one?"
"Riverdale Memorial Hospital. Hurry our ride leaves in an hour." before I could say anything he hung up.
I looked down at my phone in disbelief. Everything was happening so fast I didn't know what to do. "What's going on?" Tasha asked?
"I.. I have to go. Its time."
"What about Bryson? Jalani is over here crying and you going to up and leave?"
"I can't miss our ride it leaves in an hour." I said grabbing my things and turning to leave only to get pulled back by Tasha. "Tasha I gotta go!" I said trying to pry her hand off my wrist. "Jun is-"
"Jun my ass. I refuse for you to get caught up in this shit over this boy. Let him leave!"
I looked at her like she was crazy before snatching away. "Tasha you said you were gonna support me on this and now you're trying to force me to stay?"
"Damn right Amari! One of our closest friends just got shot because of him! That boy has been nothing but trouble. I refuse to let you go in great possibility that you could get hurt." she said.
"You don't understand him Tasha. He needs me. I can't let him leave by himself he will have no one."
"Amari please just think for a minute. Is it worth it?" I looked her up and down. I sighed "too many bad things are happening here and you see that. This is a sign Tasha." she stared at me in disbelief before shaking her head laughing. "Whatever Amari. Go head and ruin your life. Don't call me when you're little fairytale back fires on you." she spat giving me one last look before shaking her head and walking back over to a emotional Jalani.
I can't believe what just happened. Out of all people I thought Tasha would be the main one to support me but now she just switched up on me. I watched them trying to comfort Jalani. Jalani looked up at me and we looked eyes. I looked away sighing before finally opening up the door.

Jun POV
"I don't know how the hell it got to this point. I thought I was being careful. This all my fault. I could have prevented this.. I could have prevented all of this" I said pacing back and forth in the mens bathroom. Angry and sad tears ran down my face. I could have prevented two people from getting shot.
Why couldn't it have just been me. "It should have been me!" I yelled punching the damn mirror in frustration. It shattered instantly from the hard impact. I grabbed my hand feeling blood begin to run down. "Mikey if you were still hear none of this would be happening..." I mumbled to myself sniffling.
I shook my head thinking back to the events that led up to this point.
*few hours earlier*
"Thanks for dropping me off man." I said dapping Jamison up as we pulled up. "No problem. You sure you good?" he asked. "Yeah just gotta handle something real quick. Ima meet you at the school."
