Like a Grape (Shidge AU) [Book 1]

Chapter One

Today was the one year anniversary of Voltron, and as a celebration, the team had decided to have a night where the Paladins showed Coran and Allura some team games they used to play from Earth.

"Okay guys!" Allura said hyped for tonight. She had been looking forward for weeks. It was still dinner time, but Allura finished her food early. "When are we going to start?"

"Wait for us to eat first, Princess." Coran laughed. "We are not as fast as you."

"Fine," She said as she sighed. "But could you all eat a little bit faster."

And just as she said that, Keith immediately starting eating a whole lot slower, just to purposely annoy Allura.

"Keith!" Allura said sharply.

Keith than laughed as he went back to his normal speed. "I am just messing with you. We all know you are just excited."

Than Hunk noticed Pidge's absence. "Hey guys, Pidge was here a second ago. Where did she go?"

"She must of finished her food and walked off." Keith mentioned.

"Why would she do that?" Lance asked. "Didn't she know we were going to do this tonight?"

"Maybe she just walked to the Training deck early." Shiro suggested.

"Than again," Hunk spoke up. "She was kind of avoiding us all day."

"Yeah," Coran stated. "I had to pull her out of her lab many times today."

"Look. Why don't we just let her have her time while we finish dinner, than when it comes time, I'll go get her." Shiro suggested.

"Pidge?" Shiro knocked on her lab door. "You in there?"

Immediately, he heard a lot of scampering, and ruckus. Shiro didn't take that as a good sign.

"Pidge, are you okay?." He said as the ruckus increased. This was just screaming a red flag.

Than he heard a huge thud as things crashed.

"KATIE!" He yelled as he ran in.

But when he entered, he saw Pidge on the ground, her glasses a couple of feet away, and a bunch of scraps of metal and paper on the ground.

Pidge than grabbed her glasses, stood up, and brushed off the dust, acting like noting happened. "Oh, hey Shiro." She said slightly nervous as she kicked a few pages under desk, out of view.

"What happened?" Shiro asked.

"Oh this?" She nervously laughed as she grabbed some pages and shoved them in a folder. "I tripped on a cord, making a huge mess."

"I can see that, but what were you woking on?" Shiro asked getting slightly suspicious.

Pidge looked more nervous. She than looked at her wrist as if there was a watch and said "Oh, look at the time! Didn't Allura want us?" She said as she quickly walked towards Shiro and pulled him out of the room, and locked it.

Shiro sighed. "Pidge?"

"We better hurry!" Pidge said as she started running down the hallways.

Shiro sighed as he continued down the hallway towards the training deck. "You can't hide it forever Pidge." Even though he knew she couldn't hear him, he knew she was up to something, no matter how hard she tried.

"There you are Shiro!" Princess Allura said as Shiro walked in. "Now we can start!"

"What should we start with?" Hunk asked confused on how they were really going to do this.
