Chapter Nine

Pidge felt a bright light seep through her eye lids. She was not longer cold. Was she in Heaven?

Her eyes than slowly open, as she realized, she was in a healing pod on the castle. Wait. She was in a healing pod! They found her!

Her vision started to clear as she saw her team and Matt crowded around her pod. The glass made a hiss as it released her back into the world.

She couldn't hold her balance and ended up landing into her brother's arms.

"I told you." She whispered into his ear.

"You sure did." Matt replied. "Hey, guess what, Katie."

"What?" She said wondering on what it could be this time.

"Happy eighteenth birthday." He answered.

"Is that today?" Pidge asked with her mind wondering everywhere.

"Hey," Shiro said folding his arms. "I wanted to say that first."

"Well," Matt giggled. "I am her brother and she landed into my arms not yours."

Than Pidge turned to her left, and there he was, the Black Paladin. Immediately, she was filled with excitement.

"Shiro!" She exclaimed as she left her brother's embrace and gave her leader a hug.

"I am glad you are okay." Shiro said as he held her in his arms once again.

"Wait a second!" Matt exclaimed.

Lance and Keith looked at Matt, wondering what in the world could be wrong.

"Did she just call you Shiro?" Matt asked. "And give you a hug?"

"What's wrong with that?" Hunk asked.

"Allura, are you sure she doesn't need anymore time in the healing pod. I am seeing extreme changes in her personality. I think the Galra might have done something to her." He quickly said.

"I don't see anything wrong with her." Allura stated. "Pidge is fine."

"I thought you guys have know her for at least a year! Do you not see anything different?"

Lance blinked. "Nope. She is the same Pidge I know."

Pidge than started to laugh. At first it was just a few giggle, but than it was a full on laughing session with her.

"What is so funny?" Matt asked. "I think she hit her head to hard."

"No," Keith said. "I'm pretty sure you hit your head too hard. Pidge has always been like this."

"No she hasn't. I grew up with her, I should know how she acts." Matt stated. "Katie hates Shiro and absolutely refuses to call him Shiro. She would always call him Takashi instead."

"Do we have the right Matt?" Lance asked. "And where did the name Takashi and Katie come from?"

Shiro sighed as he placed his hand on his forehead. "First off, Takashi is my real name, and Katie is Pidge's real name. Second, yes that's how she used to be, but Matt, don't you think that things can change in two years. Pidge and I are actually friends now."

"What minute, you guys lied to us this whole time?" Lance asked.

"What do you mean?" Shiro asked.

"Why couldn't you trust us with your first names? Like I thought we were a family."

"Don't take it personally, Lance." Shiro sighed.

"But wait, Pidge knew Shiro before anyone else did?" Keith asked.
