Warmth. Colleen felt warmth as she rested. She felt calm, warm, and... safe. Was it just a nightmare? If she opened her eyes would she find herself back in the Garrisons? Would her father still have no clue on where she was?

She slowly opened her eyes. The first thing she saw were dark blue pillows. She was laying on them. The Garrisons always had white pillows and the same for at home.

Her anxiety started to spike. Where was she? Was she kidnapped? She was so scared she froze in place. She was so afraid to look up.

She took in a deep breath, closed her eye, and released it. She tilted her head a bit to face the room. She then opened her eyes. She saw a messy desk with papers everywhere. She looked at the walls as she saw little kid drawings, maps of stars, and honor rolls. Each honor roll saying, "Awarded to Samuel Holt."

She was in Sam's room?! That's when she remembered him from last night. He came running for her. He told her to stop. He confessed his feelings to her...

She blushed. The nerd! Of all people, the nerd loved her. He did everything in his power to keep her alive.

She wanted someone who cared for her so much, that she ran into his arms and hugged him! She was so unstable that she forgot she barely even knew him! And she fell asleep in his arms and apparently, he took her to his home.

She paused for a moment. Well, at least he didn't take her to her home, and he couldn't take her to the Garrisons, she was unenrolled by her father.

She looked down to the floor and saw him sleeping. He had a blanket and a pillow as he slept on the floor. She smiled a bit. He gave his bed to her.

She couldn't help but to look at him for a bit. She studied his messy light brown hair and his peaceful face. He was cute when he was sleeping. She blushed as she realized she was kind of a creep for thinking that. The weirdest thing was, she never really payed attention to him until now.

"Because I love you!"

She remembered his words last night. She smiled a bit. He loved her. Then again, a lot of people had a crush on her. She was the pretty one in school. But he some how found her before she killed herself. Who knows how he found her or how long it took to get there. That's not a simple crush. Colleen knew that much. There was something different about Sam...

She again looked at him starting at his closed eyes as she slowly studied his face as she made it down to his lips. She immediately felt butterflies in her stumach. She looked at the thin lips and wanted to go closer to him, but then immediately rolled over to her other side and looked at the other wall.

What was she thinking?! Yeah, he loved her, but she barely knew him over acquaintances. Plus, he was the nerd! The looser! The buzzkill! Everyone teased him! Moked him! Hated him!

But she was falling for him...

He saved her life... When she thought all light was lost, he gave her light... hope... She didn't know exactly how she was feeling, but she knew she wanted to be with him... He was one of the only people who actually cared about her...

How could one night change completely how she thought of one person?

That's when she heard the door open. She closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep. She hear a soft and gentle woman say, "Sam, time to wa--" She paused. Colleen grew the more and more nervous, the longer the pause. "Samuel James!" She exclaimed. It was stern as it filled Colleen with so much fear.
