You read the last words in the book, "She was finally his forever."

You stare at it for a few seconds trying to comprehend what just happened.

Earlier that day, you found a locked box in your new room, that you had just moved into. As you touched the box, it glowed a bright light as it opened.

You peared inside as you saw seven books.

Now, it was the year 2704, so a book was a rarity. You could maybe find on in a museum in major cities, but to actually hold one was a once in a life time opratunity.

You could maybe find on online book, but you had to be super rich to pay for it, and even then, you had it for maybe a week.

But you found seven books.

You could be a millionaire just by selling these. Yes, everyone could read, but no one wrote stories these days or afford to publish it.

Instead of selling the books, you had decided to read one and maybe find out why people would pay so much money for them.

You had pulled out the first one on the stack and started to read. After finishing the book, you felt this sensation that you had never felt before. This emotional rollercoaster.

You felt like you knew the characters. No, you felt like you were the characters.

You flipped the last page of the book, and saw a had written note on the cover.

It read:

Dear Reader,

The people and events that you read about were real. They did happen. Maybe not the exact details, though.

I, after reading the writing of Katie Holt's journal, had decided to write about her story, her adventure, her trials, her victories. And most of all, I wanted to write about how it was he, Takashi Shirogane, who had ultamately saved her.

Katie Holt, or Katie Shirogane as I knew her, was my hero. She went against any and all odds, and did the impossible, and I wanted to let people know how great she really was.

So, if you are reading this Katie, know that I am grateful for anything and all things you sacrificed for me.

Your Author,

The signiture was smugged. It was too hard for you to understand, so you shrug it off.

You pulled the box out again and placed the book back inside.

You knew you should probably should leave the rest of the books alone for you had school tomorrow and should probably get some sleep, but you longed for more. It was as if you were addicted to reading, so instead of sleeping you pulled out the other books and laid them out.

You looked at the titles to see which one you wanted to read next.

One caught you eye though. It was a purple book with the front cover saying, "My journal". You almost freaked out when you realized that that book, was Katie's childhood journal.

The author kept the journals.

You decided you might read the journals later, for now, you wanted to read the books the author wrote.

You pick up one by the title of "Among the Stars".

"This should be a good one." You quietly whisper to yourself.

You placed the rest of the books back in the box as you hide it under your bed from your parents. If they found these, they would instantly sell them. You couldn't let that happen, or at least no yet.

***

Now do you see what I mean.

For those of you who are totally lost. You, in the future, find books and read them. And yes, there is a mystery author in this universe (Hint: They are dead by the time you find these books). Yes, Katie knows the person (Not yet but will), and no, its not me. I am not inserting myself into this world.

So, I will be writing in a new book. It's not out yet.

It will obviously be called "Among the Stars" and that's basically going to be the prequel, but it will say book two. You will see my reasoning later.

BAI!
