CHAPTER 40

-Flashback.

Doncaster, 30th August 2008

‘’The park eh?’’ I type on my phone hurriedly once my mom tells me that my father has gone to work.

It only takes a few seconds for Louis to give me a reply. My smile lightens up as I receive his new message.

‘’Yes! Should I pick you up?’’

My smile fades as I know he can’t pick me up. My mom will kill me if he does, which is really annoying for me. She has made me lose chance to do something ‘romantic’ with Louis. Romantic? Oh come on, I laugh to myself. Louis has driven a numerous amount of girls home just because he’s a nice bloke. Not because he likes them.

‘’No, you know my mom will kill the shit out of me. :p’’ I reply him with an emoji.

‘’Hahah OK then, let’s meet up now?’’ I barely can breath, oh my Jesus. I mean, time flies so fast. Now that I get to meet him again, I feel like exploding.

‘’Okay. See ya!’’ I lock my phone and put it straight on my pocket, getting ready to leave.

‘’Where are you going Luna?’’ I hear my mom questions as I take my slippers.

‘’As I’ve said mom, having a walk with Janice and Lizze.’’ I lie. Janice and Lizze are the friends that I usually go to the park with, and my parents have familiarly known them. But Janice and Lizze aren’t so close to me anymore, and it’s been light years apart since we last went to the park together. Everything has terribly changed, and it hurts to tell mom this lie.

‘’Oh, I haven’t seen them for a while.’’ Exactly.

‘’Yea, that’s why we’re going to go to the park again.’’

‘’I see. Be careful Luna.’’ She says. I raise my thumb up and wave her goodbye before stepping my feet to the door, being too excited.

As I walk through the familiar streets, I keep smiling to myself. Rarely have I gone to the park with Louis, and when this chance is coming again.. I’m losing no opportunities. Plus, it’s been so long since I last saw his face. It’s going to be exciting, I know it.

I start scrolling over me and Louis’ messages. These days we finally text each other again, after a damn silenced week. And it brings me to shock as Louis invites me to meet up at the park. It’s like the activity we have left for 6 months or so, but now it’s happening again. I don’t know what will happen.

I don’t realize it when I eventually reach the park. Louis’ familiar car comes to view. The only reason he drives car to the park is just because the distance from his house to this park is quite far, meanwhile mine is not. I can always go to park by feet.

My lips curl a smile as I see Louis’ wide back on sat on the bench. He comes so early!

‘’Louis!’’ I squeal as I hug him from behind. I barely hug him, but this time I just can’t contain my feelings. I’ve missed him so much, and I’m glad that he somehow misses me too.

‘’Luna! You’re so slow, I know you always walk like a turtle.’’ Louis laughs as he hugs him back. Louis, hugging me back? It’s so random. I secretly blush, I’m so happy.

‘’I always do! You just know it, Louis.’’ I laugh.

He asks me to sit close to him and we start talking.
