Chapter 2

2weeks later. Kayla's pov

I woke up in my apartment around 6am. I woke up early to be able to make myself some breakfast before going to my first day on the set. Cooking makes me less nervous and today I had every reason to be nervous. I walked into my kitchen started making eggs, but ended up making pancakes, sausage, and bacon too. I made enough for a whole family without even noticing.

"O well."

I sighed and ate what I could. I quickly ate and threw the leftovers away and ran back into my room to change. I was told I could wear casual, but I need to still look a little professional. I quickly put on some jean skinny jeans and a nice purple top along with the lanyard I got in the mail the other day. I put it around my neck and read it.

"Kayla rolfes. Walking dead intern."

I smiled at it and looked at myself in the mirror. I took a deep breath, grabbed my car keys and drove off to the set. Once arriving I was way more nervous then I thought I'd be. I had to control my breathing before I had a panic attack. The man at the gate showed me where to park and I made my way to the yard. I about peed myself when I saw the prison. The place where my favorite show took place. I got out of the truck and made my way to the set to find another intern. I was shaking because I'm usually very quiet,

"excuse me?"

I shakily said and she turned around and smiled,

"how can I help ya dear?"

"Umm hi, can you tell me what to do? It's my first day." I replied nervous and looking to the ground.

She smiled at me,"what's your name sweetheart?"

"Kayla rolfes." I stated.

She looked down to her clip board," there you are. You're Roberts new intern. I'll take you to him."

"Thanks" I smiled.

We started walking,

"I'm Rhonda by the way." She said.

"NicE to meet you." I replied.

"Nervous?" Se asked me.

I just nodded.

"It'll be ok hon. Robert and the whole team is really nice. I was a mess my first day. We really are all like a family." She smiled.

I just nodded until we both stopped at a trailer and she knocked on it,

"Robert"

a second later he appeared and smiled at the both of us.

"This is your new intern kayla." She smiled.

He looked to me and held out his hand,

" kayla I've been expecting you. You excited?"

I shook his hand and smiled,

"more nervous more then anything."

He laughed,"understandable"

he turned to Rhonda,"thanks Rhonda I got it from here."

She nodded and left.

"So why don't I give you a tour?"

He asked and I just shook my head yes. We began walking around the set and he showed me where everything was. We past by the cast trailers,

" this Is where the cast gets ready. There is Andrews,chandler,Lauren's,and Melissa's. over there is Scott's, Laurie's,michaels, Stevens, and Normans."
