Chapter 9

Still Normans pov

A few hours went by and it was lunch. I went up to Lauren but was interrupted by Robert.

"I casted a Lilly so be ready to start those scenes tomorrow." He said.

I nodded, "awesome"

I was real short with him cause I wanted to figure out where kayla was. She's all I think about anymore and I can't deny that fact I have feelings for her. I was gonna do it. I was gonna ask her on a date. I finally saw Her at the end of filming today.

"hey kayla!" I said running up to her.

she blushed which I thought was completely adorable.

"Hey norman." She smiled.

"I was kindof wondering if you wanted to maybe go out sometime? Like dinner?" I asked nervously biting my nails.

Thats something me and daryl had in common, our nervous habit. She stared back at me blankly. Hell she looked shocked.

kaylas pov

no way he just asked me that. No way. I'm dreaming. I know I am. I quickly pinched myself. Outch! Well this wasn't a dream. I starred into his eyes to make sure this wasn't some kind of prank. He looked very serious and in a sense, nervous. Here he is, my dream guy asking me out on a date. Of course I wanted to! I was freaking out, screaming like a little fan girl inside. I tried to sound calm to answer him,

"I'd love to norman."

he smiled and said, "awesome. How about tonight? I pick ya up at 7?"

"sure" I blushed.

"alright, I can't stay it to late tonight though. I have lines I gotta memorize. There's a new cast member joining tomorrow and I don't know any of my lines." He laughed.

it was cute. Robert must not have told him I'm the new cast member.

"That's fine" I smiled.

"alright we'll I'm going to go get out of character. See ya then!" He smiled.

funny I hadn't even noticed he was still daryl. I nodded and when he was out of sit I quickly ran to Lauren's trailer. I couldn't keep my excitement controlled anymore and I knew I was about to explode. I busted through the door which made Lauren jump a bit. I hugged her tight while jumping up and down.

"kayla what's going on?" She laughed.

"norman just asked me on a date!" I screamed.

"oh my gosh! I told you he liked you!" She screamed back.

"I can't believe all this is happening! It's like it's a dream and I'm gonna wake up any moment!" I said pacing.

She pinched my arm.

"Ow!" I said.

"see it's not a dream" she smiled.

"this just doesn't happen Lauren. What if I say something stupid. What if I look bad? What if I mess up everything because I'm a huge fan? Lauren I'm not some super model, he should be going on dates with them not me" I started worrying.

she came and made me stop pacing," kayla calm down. Norman likes you. Not some super model. You won't mess up anything. He is the easiest person I've ever met to get along with. He sees something in you, just calm down. I'll come over and help you get ready."

I sighed,"thanks Lauren."

later that night Lauren came over and helped me into a blue strapless dress and helped with my make up. We were I interrupted when I my phone started ringing. Mom.i put Her on speaker phone.

K: hello?

m:hey sweety! How's everything going? Felt like I haven't talked to you in forever

k:it's all amazing mom! So much has happened!

M:tell me everything! How is everything? Did you meet the cast? Did you meet norman?

I blushed and Lauren laughed. My mom heard her.

m:who you with?

k:mom you know who Maggie is on the show?

m:of course. The one your brother is in love with?

K:ya(Lauren laughed) her name is Lauren and I'm with her.

L: hello mrs. RoLfes

M: oh my gosh! Hello sweety! Please call me nancy

L:alright

m:how's my daughter doing down there?

L: she's doing perfect. A lot of things came up today for her. Her life is going to change.

M:what she mean kayla?

k:alright mom don't scream, but I'm going to be a new character on the walking dead!

m:no way! Your serious?!

k:yes! And mom I'm daryls love interest!

l: on and off screen (I playfully punched Lauren)

m:what's that mean kayla?

i blushed.

L: at the moment we are getting her ready for her date with mr. Reedus.

m:kayla o my gosh! Why didn't you tell me!

k:I'm still in shock myself

m:alright! I'm so happy for you. (My brother says something in the back ground.)

k:hey mom that Justin?

m:yea

k:put him on

j:hello

(I looked to Lauren and she nodded)

k:hey bun I got someone here wanting to talk to ya.

L: hey Justin it's Lauren Cohan

silence. We both started laughing

K: justin you still there?

J: yea is that seriously lauren

L: yes it's me. Your sister tells me a lot about you. So when are we getting married? I love the wedding plans you came up with.

(I about fell over laughing)

J:kayla I'm going to kill you!

K: what she is the bride, she deserves to know.

silence again.

M:well sweety I'll let you go get ready for your date. Good luck!

k:thanks mom! Love you

m:love you too! Nice to talk to you lauren

L:you too!

we hung up and I looked at Lauren as we both started laughing again. We looked at the clock,

"we'll it's 6:30. I'm going to go. You look beautiful." She said.

"Lauren I can't do this." I was so nervous.

"you can and you will. Have fun." She hugged me and left.

i took deep breaths and went to sit on my couch. I turned on tv and started flipping through channels. What do ya know? Walking dead marathon. I laughed as I watched daryl. I can't believe I'm sitting at home waiting for that man to come pick me up. I jumped when the doorbell rang. I quickly turned the tv off, took a deep breath, and went to answer the door.
