Chapter 20

Kayla's pov

i held Norma's hand as we walked down the stairs to the kitchen for dinner. When we entered, mom was finishing off and my brother Justin was helping set the table. When Justin turned around, his eyes got super wide and he about dropped the plate. I laughed a little. I didn't know if he was star truck by norman or he just missed me. We are super close and when I moved, it was hard on us both the most. He quickly set the plate down on the table and charged up to me. I dropped Norman's hand as Justin hugged onto me tightly while picking me up. I laughed as he put me down. I may be 20 and he's only 16, but the boy was way taller than me and a lot stronger. He then looked to norman and I smiled,

"Justin this is norman." I introduced.

norman stook out his hand and Justin shook it, "trust me i know who he is. You wouldn't shut up about him for years."

I blushed and punched his arm as my brother laughed,

"hey that was payback for what you did to me on the phone with Lauren."

I rolled my eyes and norman was all smiles.

"well it's a pleasure" norman said.

"kayla can you help me for a second?" Mom asked.

i looked over to her and said,"sure."

I walked over to the stove leaving norman alone with my brother. I really hope he doesn't say anything embarrassing.

normans pov.

i watched as she walked to help her mom with something which left me alonewith her brother. When she said she had a little brother I was expecting a 'little' brother, but damn is 16 year old was huge! He was taller and way bigger than me. He was anything but little. I was hoping it would be easy to talk to him since my son is around his age. We sat in an awkward silence as we watched the women work. Shit norman say something! Then I remembered, he liked Lauren.

"So I hear you like Lauren?" I smirked.

he blushed and then smiled, "o ya man. How can ya not? She's hot."

i laughed and he said, "if ya really wanted to get on my good side, ya would've brought her"

"I'll put in a good word." I joked.

we both laughed and then he sighed,"look I think you're really cool. Please don't hurt her."

i just starred at him and he continued,"this is her dream. The show and being with you. She's not had the best life growin up. You were the only reason she watched that show and she made us watch it too. You are everything to her."

i nodded," I understand. I won't hurt her, I promise."

"good cause if you do, I'll have to kill you" he laughed.

"understood." I smirked.

"tell me, she doesn't suck on the show right?" He laughed.

i shook my head and he laughed again,"they gonna kill off Glenn anytime soon? Cause Id be perfect for Maggie's new love Interest"

i laughed,"I'll talk to rob about that. Steven may not be too happy."

he smiled,"thanks man"

we laughed as kayla came back over to us

"what you guys talking about?" She asked.

i was about to answer when her dad walked in. He went and kissed his wife and then looked over to us. I would be lyin if I said I wasn't nervous now. He walked up to kayla and kissed her on the forehead and then he turned to me,

"dad this is norman" kayla introduced.

"mark" her dad stuck out his hand for me.

i gladly shook it, "it's a pleasure"

i was going to call him sir but seeing he was only a few years older than me i chose against it. He was the Main person I needed to be approved from. We sat down and ate dinner and then we all decided to watch a movie. Kayla was making popcorn and I said,

"ey I'm gonna go take a smoke break"

she nodded as I kissed her and walked out to the front yard. She liked in a nice neighborhood and the breeze felt great. I lit my cigarette when I heard the door open. I turned to see her dad walk out. I took a deep breath as he walked to my side and pulled out cigarettes for himself. He lit his and then said,

"so you ever been here before?"

"I've been here for a few conventions but never actually in a neighborhood" I replied.

he nodded,"norman can I be honest with ya?"

"of course." I replied.

"this age difference dot make me happy." He started which inside I started to panic but he continued,

"but I know how she feels about you. Hell everyone she talks to does. I wouldn't watch anything with you in it cause I knew she liked you. I never thought in a million years she would actually end up with you. Let alone on a tv show. But you make her happy. Happier than I have ever seen her so I'm givin you a chance, don't make me regret it."

"I won't." I said sternly.

"you better not cause if you hurt my baby girl, I will kill you" he said.

"you're the second one to tell me that" I smirked.

"ya but unlike her brother, I actually will do it." He said and through the finished cigarette on the ground leaving me outside alone drowned in my own thoughts.
