Chapter 35

Norman's pov

I held onto her hand the whole way to the convention. I don't know who was more nervous about going back, her or me. In all honesty I didn't want her going today, but she was stubborn. That's something her and her character have in common. We arrived at the convention center and were led to the back. First thing today was twd panel. It was her first panel ever. Kayla was taken to her room in down the hall when I turned to sean,

"I'm still not too sure about this"

"Hey it's all gonna be fine, I'll help ya keep an eye on her." He smirked.

I nodded as kayla was being led back to me and they led sean out to to autographs.

Kayla's pov

Me and norman were led to the back of the stage where panel was going to take place. Michael, Scott, and chandler were already there. I smiled and once chandler saw me, he turned and ran to me hugging me. I let go of Norman's hand and hugged him back, he pulled away and his eyes immediately went to my neck. I sighed,

"Im fine chandler"

"Should've killed the man that did that to you" he said.

"I agree" norman grunted.

I smiled at him and then looked back to chandler pulling him in for another hug.

"Alright lover boy let go of er so I can get some lovin" Michael joked.

Chandler pulled away blushing and Michael started laughing as he came up to hug me,"hate to see the other man" he joked as he hugged me.

I laughed and hugged back,"ya you would norman did a number on him"

Michael pulled away and smirked at norman.

"So baby brother ya finally grew a pair?" He asked in his Merle voice.

Me and chandler bursted out laughing as norman playfully punched rooker. I smiled and hugged Scott,

"You sure you're alright sweetheart?" He asked concerned.

I smiled back at him. Scott always reminded me of my grandpa even when I didn't know him in person. The character of Herschel just always did that for me,

"Ya. Still hurts a bit, but I'm ok"

He nodded and was replaced by norman. We were waiting backstage for panel to start and I'm not gonna lie. I was nervous as hell. This was my first panel. What if I say something stupid? Or what if I give a stupid answer to a question? I sighed and saw norman pull his phone out of his pocket. He turned it facing us and kissed my cheek snapping the picture. I laughed and then he said to the guys,

"Hey get in this picture!"

Chandler, Michael and Scott got behind us as norman pointed the camera to us. We all smiled for one and then we did a funny face. Norman started playing with his phone when chandler walked up to me shyly.

"Kayla?"

"Ya chan wats up?" I smiled.

He pulled out his phone,"I was wondering...."

"You wanna take a selfie?" I laughed.

His face turned bright red and nodded. I smiled and took out my phone,

"I'll take a selfie with you if you take one with me"

His face perked up and he nodded. I bent down to his level and he aimed the camera infront of us and we took the picture. Then I stook my phone out in front of us and right before I took the picture I kissed chandler on the cheek snapping the pic. I looked at it and his face was bright red and in shock in the picture. I laughed and saw he was still blushing. I smild and quickly texted him our picture and I walked over to Scott and took our picture and then walked up to Michael.

"Why ya takin all these pictures girl?" He asked.

"It's my first panel! Come on!" I laughed.

"Well damn it is isn't it?" He asked taking my phone from me.

I nodded as he walked up to chandler,"here kid take this picture"

He walked back up to me and I arched an eyebrow. He smirked,

"what? If it's yer first panel ya need awesome pictures so let's take us a good one"

I smiled and nodded, but what I wasn't expecting was him to scoop me up bridal style. II was laughing so hard and chandler snapped the picture.

"Alright rooker put my girl down" norman smiled.

Michael turned to him with me still in his arms,"what's the matter little brother? Scared I'm a steal yer girl?"

I laughed as Michael finally let me down. I walked up to norman and asked,"may I get a picture me. Reedus?"

He smirked,"sure but it'll cost ya"

"But I don't have enough! Yer photo ops are damn expensive!" I joked.

"Hey yours aren't much better" he smirked.

I rolled my eyes and he said,"well ya better find something else to pay with"

"CaN it be an IOU?" I chuckled.

"Depends on how you gonna owe it?" He smirked.

Butterflies filled my stomach. Should I try to be sexy or would I look like an idiot? Well time to find out. I leaned in and whispered in his ear,

"You'll find out later"

I felt him shutter and I pulled away looking at his blushing face. His eyes filled with lust and excitement. I laughed and stuck the camera infront of us. He turned my face to face him and kissed me as I snapped the picture. I looked at the picture and blushed at us kissing. That picture itself was a dream come true for me. I wished more than anything I could post it online and show everyone. Everyone that ever made fun of me. Anyone that ever put me down would be feeling pretty shitty, but norman and I haven't come out publicly so I couldn't. I sighed and turned to him to see him smirking,

"What?"

"As much as I love this picture, I was hoping to put em online so can we take one that can go online?" I asked.

"Sorry just couldn't help myself" he chuckled.

I laughed and we took a picture smiling. That's when my phone vibrated with twitter notifications. It amazed me I now had over 15k following me when I use to only have like 83. I had people tagging me in things and people messaging me. I looked and saw a bunch of the people tagging me in the pictures from convention. A lot were also very concerned about my attack. I smiled and favorited all the pictures of me with fans and decided to post my pictures and then post a status.

@kaylarolfes about to go into my first panel ever!! Neck is doing alright! Thnx for all the prayers!

I looked at my notifications and saw more pictures I was tagged in. I clicked on the one chandler tagged me in. It was the one I took of me kissing him on the cheek. I chuckled and read the heading.

I favorited and then clicked on the picture norman tagged me in. It was the one with all of us doing a funny face. The heading read,

I smiled and then looked down at my neck in the picture. I didn't realize it looked that bad. I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket. A worker came backstage to us,

"5 minutes till we go on"

My breathing hitched as everyone nodded. Norman came and squeezed my hand to reassure me everything was ok. I sighed and tried to calm down. It couldn't be that bad. Could it?
