Chapter 37

6 months later Kayla's pov

i walked out of my trailor once I was dressed as Lilly. It felt great being back in Georgia and back on set. Norman and I were still strong as ever. We had finished off the convention tours and I'm happy to say there were no more attacks. I still couldn't believe about 8 months ago, I was a nobody. I look back on all this time and all the changes. Who knew interning would turn into this. I'm dating my celebrity crush and I'm a character on my favorite show ever. I smiled feeling the sun on my face. The past few weeks I have been feeling off. More queasy than anything, but today I have been feeling fine.mi just assumed it was something I ate at the Chinese place norman took me a few weeks ago. I blushed thinking about that night. Norman had taken me out to eat and then we went back to our hotel and well....ya know. Gosh the way that man touched me made me feel like a freaking princess. I smiled to myself and saw Lauren run up to me,

"hey!"

i smiled and ran to hug her,"hey I missed you so much!"

i hadn't seen Lauren since 2 months ago at the Dallas convention. And that's a long time to be away from your best friend! She smiled and pulled out of the hug,

"I missed you too!"

"so anything interesting happen while I was away?" I asked as we started walkin to set.

"no not with me...how about you and mr.reedus?" She smirked elbowing me.

i chuckled and blushed,"we're great"

"you sleep with him yet?" She asked.

"Lauren!" I gasped.

"What! Come on! I want details!" She laughed.

I blushed, "wow Lauren"

i averted red my eyes from her and I heard her gasp,"you have haven't you!"

"shut up!" I laughed.

"o my god! Is he good!" She laughed.

"Lauren! Geez!" I laughed.

"what?!" She chuckled.

it was silent for a few minutes and I sighed,"ya....it's really good"

we both just started laughing really hard.

"hey Lauren can I ask a favor?" I said.

"sure anything" she smiled.

"well my brothers birthday is in a few weeks and I thought about bringing him to set" I started.

"o my gosh that's awesome!" She smiled.

"ya and I was kinda wonderin if you would go out to dinner with norman, Justin, and I?" I asked nervous.

"like on a date with your brother?" She asked.

"well not exactly a date, but it's his 17th birthday and he loves you and I just want it to be special because I never see him anymore" I said.

"of course I don't mind at all! It'll be fun!" She smiled.

"o my gosh Lauren thank you!" I hugged her.

she laughed and hugged me back, but then that familiar sick feeling happened again. I quickly jumped away from Lauren and raised my hand to my mouth. She looked at me worried,

"you alright?"

i shook my head and looked around for anything I could puke in. I saw a trash can and ran as fast as I could and let it go. I felt my hair being moved out of my face and once I was sure I was done I wiped my mouth with my sleeve. I looked up to a concerned Lauren.

"you alright?"

"ya, it's been like this for a few weeks. Today's the first day I have felt fine, but I guess not." I sighed.

Lauren's eyes widened,"a few weeks this has been going on?"

"ya. Norman took me to this Chinese place in Dallas. Guess I got food poisoning or something" I said.

"Dallas was 5 weeks ago" she said.

"I know" I shrugged.

"kayla I don't think it's food poisoning" Maggie said.

i looked at her confused,"what you talking about?"

"have you and norman used protection?" She asked.

i froze and my eyes widened as I realized what she was implying,"usually. We didn't last time"

she grabbed my hand,"come on"

i followed behind her as she took me to the office building on set,"where are we going?"

"Rhonda's office. She just had a baby so she may have some tests." She said.

i nodded and we walked into the office,"hey Rhonda"

Rhonda turned and smiled at us,"hey ladies can I help ya with something?"

"ummm ya you wouldn't happen to have some pregnancy tests would you?" Lauren asked.

rhonda arched an eyebrow,"ummm ya...you need one?"

Lauren smiled,"it's for a friend."

rhonda looked at me and smiled as she dug into her desk and pulled out a box. She handed it to Lauren and we thanked her, walking back to my trailer. She pulled out a stick and handed it to me,

"Take it."

i looked at her nervously and she smiled,"I'll be right here when you get out"

i sighed and went to take the test. I waited for what felt like the longest 3 minutes of my life. My heart was pounding at the nervousness going through my blood. When the 3 minutes passed, I grabbed the stick and looked at the result. I walked back to Lauren with the stick in hand.

"Well?" She asked.

"I'm pregnant" my voice cracked.

lauren jumped up from the couch and hugged me,"congratulations!"

i didnt hug back. I was frozen. Being a fan of Norman's I knew he didn't want anymore kids. He was going to leave me. How in the world am I going to tell him?

normans pov

it was awesome being back on set. I swear I had the best job ever! I got dressed into daryl as someone knocked on my door,

"ya it's open!" I yelled.

i turned to see andrew walked in. I smiled and gave him a hug. Damn I missed this man,

"Nice to see ya!"

"you too! How are things" he smiled.

"great what about you?" I asked.

"pretty good, you and kayla good?" He asked.

"she's great man" I said but sighed.

"something wrong?" He asked.

"no I just...I think it's time I introduce er to Mingus" I said.

"takin a big step there. You sure you're ready" he asked.

i nodded,"yah I'm sure"

Andy smiled,"well I'm happy for ya."

"What if she doesn't want to?" I asked.

"norman kayla loves you. Of course she's gonna want to meet your son" Andy smiled.

"she's so young man, I don't want her feelin like I'm just throwing a kid on her" I sighed.

"you and I both know she's not like that. Now finish gettin ready, we are due on set" he said getting up.

i just nodded at him and watched as he left. I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. How the hell was I gonna tell her?
