Kayla's pov

breathe kayla, you can do this. It's just a kid. No big deal. You're great with kids. But what if he doesn't like me? Norman will leave me. Dammit stop worrying! You got this! all this worrying is bad for the baby! My little pep talk inside my head was unfortunately not working. My heart was pounding as we reached the airport and got out. Immediately people recognized us and tried to get pictures, we took a few but then went inside for Mingus. Norman kept a firm hold on my hand. He probably knew if he let go and I'd run away. We looked around for a little bit when we heard a young voice yell out,

"dad!"

we turned and saw a boy with blonde hair running in our direction. Norman smiled and let go my hand and met the boy half way picking him up in a hug. This was Mingus. My heart warmed at the father son reunion. They then turned to me and Mingus was looking At me with a questioning glance. The nerves picked up again. Norman smirked and leaned down to his son and whispered something In his ear. The boys eyes widened and then smiled at his dad. Norman smiled back and they made their way over to us. I tried to make my breathing sound normal as norman said,

"kayla this is Mingus, Mingus this is my girlfriend kayla"

"it's nice to meet you" I smiled

"dang dad I gotta give ya props she's a hot one" Mingus smirked.

i blushed bright red by his comment and norman sighed,"damn now I gotta worry bout my son tryin to steal my girl too?"

mingus smirked and then did something that shocked me. He hugged me around my waist. It took me a minute to realize what was going on, but then I hugged back. Norman was looking at us with proud and relieved eyes. We then quickly made our way to the car and started driving towards the apartment. Not a minute after we got In The car Mingus asked,

"so what we gonna do today dad?"

norman an looked at his son through the mirror and smirked,"ya just got here and ya think we're gonna do something?"

"ya common dad!" He whined.

"well what do ya wanna do?" He asked.

"I don't know. What's there to do?" Mingus asked.

norman arched an eyebrow at me and I thought hard,"we could go to the lake?"

"yeah! Let's go! Can we go dad! Please!" Mingus asked excitedly.

"I don't know. We need to get ya un packed first" norman said.

"aww c'mon dad!" He whined.

"ya c'mon dad!!" I mimicked Mingus playfully.

norman looked at me,"c'mon not you too"

"don't be a party pooper" I chuckled.

"ya dad!" Mingus agreed.

norman sighed,"fine but only for an hour and then we are going to the apartment."

mingus and I cheered in victory as we made our way to the lake. Once we arrived, Mingus immediately had ran out of the car and down towards the water. I smiled and opened my door stepping out and meeting the Georgia breeze. I looked around and noticed that the willow trees were in bloom and looked beautiful. I was brought back to reality when I felt two arms snake around my waist. I smiled and leaned up to kiss him. When we pulled away, we smiled at each other and then looked to the trees again.

"they're beautiful" I whispered.

"yes you are" he smiled.

i smiled widely and leaned into kiss him again when Mingus yelled,
