October 15 (two months later)

Garroth and Aphmau had a lot of time apart.  It turned out that they both had business to do, which made the distance between them grow.

He was going to see her for her birthday though.

He walked into a jewelry shop, looking around.  The woman inside automatically greeted him and bowed.

He waved it off, saying that she didn't have to be so formal.

His gaze turned to the necklaces.  Just something simple and nice would do.  He was going to get a birthday present for Aphmau.

And she was in combat quite s lot, meaning that he had to get her something that wouldn't break.

"Do you have anything purple and blue?"

"Oh, yes of course.  They're all over here."  The lady directed him as he looked at the different variations.

This was going to be a little harder than he thought.

Then something finally caught his eye.

There was a lilac colored small crystal pendant with a small silver chain.  There was a hint of blue and you could see t more when the light hit the crystal.

"That's an amethyst.  It's pretty unique considering the light color and the shade of blue."

A smile tugged his lips, "I'll take it."

He pulled out a bag, filled with his own money.   "How much?"  He asked.

"It would be $473 but I'll give it to you for $150."  The jeweler said, smiling.

"I can pay full price-"

"I insist.  $150 please."

He gave her the money, as she stored the necklace in a nice box, tying the ribbon around it in a bow.

They both exchanged thank you's, Garroth leaving the store, hiding the box immediately in the bag that he had.

He told his father about his leave and he left.

Lucky him, there was a rental house waiting for them in Phoenix Drop.

"Garroth it's going to get late soon, where are we going?"

"Phoenix Drop."

Their fingers were intertwined as he lead her though the enchanted forest, remembering every turn to take.

He took a shortcut, getting them there in a couple hours.

"Tomorrow is a special day."

"Garroth, my birthday isn't that special."

"I beg to differ."

"It's just my birthday, nothing big." She argued back, getting lost in his eyes when their gazes met.

"Tomorrow is the day that you were born. Now you're going to tell me that the love of my life, future bride, wife and Mother of my future children's birthday isn't important?"
