Aphmau's recovery was fast.  As soon as she was walking again, she wanted to train, do something.  She was tired of being cooped up in a empty room in an empty cage.

Zoey had requested to Garte that she actually get a room so she could take care of Lilith, which seemed reasonable.

And he unexpectedly abided, but asked Zoey that she enchant the palace so that she was unable to leave the property.  It was temporary, of course.

Garte was going to turn Aphmau into a spy.  And honestly she could be one but he still doesn't know where her loyalties lie.

When Zoey moved Aphmau out of that lonely cell she was surprised. She was honestly surprised.  Garte Ro'meave was letting a fugitive stay with him.  Who knew he actually had a heart.

She was given a room, which had its own bathroom and such.  It was pretty sizable. considering she had to take care of a baby too.

A crib and other supplies were set up in the room. Garroth was officially okay to be around Lilith. She got all of the shots that she needed so she wouldn't get sick.

He would freak out a little when he held her and she started to cry. Aphmau would just laugh before telling him that he would get used to it and she would stop being so fussy when she gets older.

He was sitting in the room, holding baby Lilith in his arms.  She was fast asleep.  Garroth was tense, holding her, not wanting to wake her up and make her cry.

"You're doing it!"  Aphmau whisper shouted, smiling.

"I kinda am."

"Irene, you don't have to be so stiff. Didn't you do this when Zane and Vylad were born?"

"Uh, not really." He lightly chuckled, cradling the child in his arms, feeling more comfortable.  And with just Garroth's luck, baby Lilith woke up, immediately starting to cry.

Aphmau stopped him before he could hand their child off to her.  "You're a father, at least try.  You'll probably be good at it, watch."

He lightly bounced a bit, shushing her and taking a bottle of milk, placing it over had lips as she began to drink, shutting up.

He sighed in relief when she was quiet, occasional giggles heard from their daughter.

"Didn't I tell you?"  Aphmau said, kicking back and finally relaxing.

"This is exhausting."

"You're telling me."

When Garroth left, he was sent to do some paper work as practice, if he needs to inherit the throne, which he won't because of the deal his father made.

But sometimes he doubted if his father was a man of his word when it came to smoking such deals like that. If he got what he wanted then nothing else mattered.

He sat on the desk in his room, his mains trailing off to his daughter and future wife. There was a bump in the road and their relationship is pretty messed up right now but Garroth still loves them both.

And he hopes that she can return those feelings.

"Prince Garroth, your father would like to have a word," A guards voice spoke.

Without responding, he immediately got up, walking to the throne room. Making sure to stay calm, even though whenever he was called for he throne room, nothing good really happened.

"You wanted a word, father?"

"Ah, my son."

Garroth didn't respond, he just kept his head low, hoping that he would just go straight to the point.

"I have picked another heir."

He mentally crossed his fingers, wishing and hoping that he would say Vylad.

"Who would that be?"

Garte chuckled. "Of course, the one and only, Zane Ro'meave."

Oh no,

Was Garroth's first thoughts.
