Aphmau, Garroth, Katelyn, and Travis agreed that if they had gotten into trouble, they would take Lilith to Hyria, considering that she would know what to do.
The plan for overthrowing Garte Ro'meave and banishing Zane Ro'meave has officially come into effect.
It's only been three days. The two missed their daughter gravely.
Vylad has already gotten evidence that would make Zane unable to accede the throne.
Now they just had to take Garte off of it.
"There's a rumor going around that he's been doing illegal business with shadow knights and the shadow lord."
"For what?" Aphmau asks.
"Immortality."
Both heads whip their attention to Garroth, who was rocking the empty crib.
"How do you know?"
"The shadow lord is immortal, isn't he?"
"Yeah. But granting immortality costs something." Vylad adds on.
"Human sacrifice. A life for life."
"Since when did you know so much about the nether?" Garroth asks both Aphmau and Vylad.
They both shrugged. "I was kept there for a good amount of time. Plus, shadow knights talk very loud."
"I read a lot of books."
"Well, we need proof of that." Garroth runs a hand through his sandy locks, trying to tame tame them at the same time.
A small, high pitched ring entered the room. Vylad went over to his bag taking it a mirror.
"Is that-"
"It's a communication mirror. Don't ask how I got it."
We look at the mirror, Garte's private quarters showing. There was a small, breakable portal, that gave access to the nether.
And a red, shadowy figure floating before Garte.
"I told you not to summon me if you're going to waste my time-"
"I'm not, I have a sacrifice."
"You do?" The tripled voice spoke, amused.
"Yes. You requested the purity of a human. I have a child, a newborn child."
Aphmau and Garroth look at each other, realizing it was a good idea to send Lilith-Garnet away. When she left for Tu'la, Garte would've taken her.
"I didn't know you wanted to be immortal so desperately."
He chuckled, "Yes my Lord, I'd do anything."
"I want her in twelve days. Just like you promised."
"Yes."
"May I see you then, Garte Ro'meave."
The figure disappears as Garte destroyed the portal and covered it up.
Vylad hid the mirror, knowing that it recorded the last scene like a video camera. "We're going to need more people."
Aphmau take the green communication amulet, talking to Katelyn and Travis.
"I need you to take Lilith to Hyria. Tell her that she's our flesh and blood. If she doesn't believe you guys then tell her to look Lilith in the eyes. We're going to need your guys' help."
"We'll be there in a day. If not, come search for us." Travis' voice responds.
"Looking for you ain't a choice. Be careful and don't kill my- our daughter."
"We won't." Katelyn's voice spoke. "We will be there. Be ready to sneak us in."
•••
Hyria came in contact with Garroth and Aphmau, congratulating them for their child, saying hat she will keep her safe.
Katelyn and Travis were successfully snuck into the castle, all five of them literally lounging in Aphmau's room.
"We're going to announce the arrest of Zane, right about now."
With one spell, a broadcast like announcement was shot all over the kingdom. "Attention, Zane Ro'meave is to be arrested for illegal dealing with thugs and treason committees. Guards please escort him to the O'Khasis prison."
It repeated about five times before stopping. After that, everyone except Aphmau hid around the castle, waiting for Garte to come barging in.
But fortunately he didn't.
But instead, he went straight to the prison. Trying to figure out how he got caught.
While Garte was making himself busy, Aphmau and Garroth were both alone in her room, talking and laughing, just like they used to.
The guards were on patrol of the prison, barley any were wandering around the palace.
"Hey, can you stand up for a second?"
She did as told, standing up in her spot. He stood with her, staring into her eyes while holding both of her hands.
"Is everything okay?"
He laughed. "Yeah. Everything is fine. But I-I just wanted to do this before everything went crazy, and I know that it will. A-And it might not be the best time to do this, b-but I just wanted you to know h-how I really feel about you and I-I hope you feel the same way too. I love you, Aphmau. I love you and Lilith like how breathing comes naturally to me."
She laughed, feeling tears of joy weld in her eyes watching Garroth kneel on one knee. She always imagined this day and she was so overjoyed about it now.
"W-Would you do me the honor of becoming my life and my everything? W-Will you marry me?" Garroth managed to get out, flipping the box open, trying not to pass out from the nervousness he was feeling.
A single tear slid down her cheek, nodding. "Yes, Garroth, Yes. I'll marry you."
He smiled and stood up, slipping the ring around her finger, she didn't bother to look at it, all she did was look at him.
He pulled her close, their lips connecting, one passionate and love filled kiss, he could feel her tears of joy on his cheeks before pulling away.
"Even if I die-"
She shushed him. "You're not going to die. I promise you. I love you, Garroth."
"I love you too."
Before they could kiss again, there was a knock on the door, a specific knock, signaling that it was Katelyn and Travis.
When they let them in. They looked confused, especially when Garroth had the biggest smile on his face and Aphmau was the brightest shade of red, her hands behind her back, twisting he ring out of an already made habit.
"Did we miss anything?"
