*few weeks later*

Aphmau was almost two months pregnant. It was already June and Zoey had to constantly check on her.

Garroth got news that Tu'la plans on attacking O'khasis in tree days time.

And they needed her to fight with them. If she refused, Garte would just kill her.

She needs to constantly have a use or else she would be useless and they could just kill her.

"They plan on invading in three days."

"What does this have to do with me?"

"My father needs you to fight.  He knows how talented you are."

"You know I can't."  She breathed out, resting her hand on her stomach.

"I told him your situation and he said its too early to use that as an excuse."  He kicked away at the cement on the floor.

"Asshole.  Does he know that the baby's yours?"

He nodded, looking down at the floor, his hands behind his back.

"I hope you got lectured."

"I got more than a lecture.  He taught me about the whole putting on a-- whatever.  But let's just say he did."

Aphmau laughed slightly.  "I'm angry still, but you make it hard for me to stay mad."  She sighed.  "But you lost a lot of my trust.  And it's going to be hard for you to earn it back."

"I know."  He sat down on the bench that he usually sat on by the cell.  "Vylad talks to me a lot, reminding me about the mistake I made."

She nodded, "Why are you telling me three days early?"

She got slightly excited that she might have a chance to actually touch her sword again.

And put on some decent clothes and armor.

"You get to start getting back into the groove of fighting again today.  After Zoey casts her protection spell on you. For the baby's safety."

And just at the nick of time, Zoey came in, greeting them both and taking the barrier off of her cell, unlocking it and letting her out.

"Don't get up too quickly, Aphmau."

"Yeah, yeah,"  she waved Zoey off, standing up and following her out of the cell.

Though she didn't look at all that's different, you could barley tell she was pregnant.  She almost looked the same.

"Irene, I hope I don't look as shitty as I feel right now."

Trust me, you don't.

Garroth shook his head at the thought.  Guards followed behind them, going to Garroth's room where all of Aphmau's things were being held.

"Have you been sharpening my sword?"

"Yes."

"Like the way I showed you-"

"Yes."

When the doors opened, he rushed in quickly, grabbing her armor, sword, and other knives and daggers.
