~~It's Him~~

I saw it. The necklace. He must have been happy that he's actually found his other half. Whereas I'm stuck in a nut shell of a town, trying to find my way around. I tried squeezing I between these two people and just ended up falling. But two strong arms caught me.

"Excuse me, but I could help seeing this." A hand reached around my neck and tugged in my necklace.

Revealing it for the first time in a long time I saw it was glowing. I hadn't even realised. I wonder who had the other necklace.

Standing up, I looked at the person who had caught me. Tall, muscular build, bright green eyes, dirty blond hair, perfectly styled. Wearing black skinnies, a gray t-shirt, and a necklace...

A glowing necklace... Oh god. It-it's h-him...

"My names Zeke... And who might you be?" He asked with a slight accent to his deep husky voice.

"I'm Imogen." I said shyly.

"Well... Unless there's another guy with this." He held up his necklace. "I assume we have found each other." He smiled.

"I think your right." Smiling with him, he took me to a little café type place out of the way from crowds of people.

After sitting down and ordering some coffee he finally broke the awkward silence.

"So, Imogen. How long have you been on the road?" He asked.

"Nearly a year. You?" I smiled.

"Same here. Left as soon as I could. My family is very keen for me to find you." He admitted.

"Really?... My family just told me to be safe and if I do find you, to let you meet them." I replied.

"You know.. When I first saw you... Before I even knew my necklace was glowing..." He paused.

"Yes?" I asked looking him in the eyes.

"I instantly felt a connection." I didn't know how to reply.

"Really?" I was shocked.

"Really." He repeated. "It was like nothing before." How was I supposed to answer him.

"That's adorable." I smiled. What... I didn't feel that.

"And true." He smiled and sipped his coffee. I repeated his actions.

A connection. I didn't feel anything like that. I just know I have to be with him now...

*Bleep Bleep... Bleep Bleep*

My phone rang in my pocket.

"Excuse me a minuet." I said, he nodded and I answered the phone.

The Call:

Me: Hello?

Brooke: Where did you get too?

Me: Oh crap... Brooke! I found him!

Brooke: Found who?

Me: The guy. His mane is Zeke.

Brooke: Oh Gen! That's amazing!

Me: I know!

Brooke: Are you sure its him?

Me: My necklace is lighting up like a bitch every time I am around him.

Brooke: Well... What's he like?

Me: Amazing His family sound nice too, I was talking to them on the phone.

Brooke: Well, don't let me stop you. Just make sure you don't forget about me!

Me: And how would I do that!

Brooke: Love you Boo!

Me: Love you to Bae!

Brooke: Good luck Kiddo. Talk to you soon!

Me: Bye Brooke.

With that I ended the call.

Walking back to Zeke, he smiled as he saw me. "Who was that?" He asked.

"My friend Brooke." I answered and sat back down with him.

👣...👣...👣

We spoke for quite some time. I was trying. To get my head around the fact that, this, is who I was going to spend my life with. No matter what.

Currently, we were walking along the side of the river when he mentioned his journey to finding me. He told me that he had met loads of new people who had helped him and put up with him. He was telling me about his family and friends and how I had to meet them.

"So... Your or my family first?" He asked out of the blue.

"I don't mind... Mine are tough to handle, so I guess your up." I joked.

"Fair enough. My house is only a few days away from here. We will get there in no time." He said.

"So it took you a year to find me... Yet your house is only a few days away?" I asked giggling.

"Well, I say a few days. More like a week or so away." He smiled.

"Makes more sense. Well my house is like... A month away, with stops of course. So if you just wanna catch a plane there, I'll be up for that." I joked.

"Okay. After you have seen my family we will go to yours. Deal?" He asked.

"Deal. Should we get going then?" I walked to his car with him.

"Corse me lady. Someone I know owns the café we were in and has said she will look after your car." He opened the passengers side door for me.

"Thank you. What a gentlemen." I smiled and sat in the car.

"No problem." He said shutting the door and sliding over the bonnet of the car and jumping in.

"Oh... That was smoooooth." I dragged out the O's.

"Well, I do try." He joked.

Starting up the engine and driving off. I couldn't believe what I was doing. Zeke seemed like a genuinely nice guy. But he felt something I didn't. He had an amazing personality. An amazing body for that matter. And an amazing way with words. But he felt something for me that I didn't for him...

👣...👣...👣

I can't believe it's him. Like really him. And I'm going to meet his family. I've been looking for him for nearly a year... Yet in the matter of 2 hours, we have planned meeting each others family.

I felt like this was all to slow. But now it's all to fast. Time needs to calm down and be real for a minuet.

This isn't at all what I expected. I expected something big and magical. Something where I felt an instant connection. Something like... Like...

Imogen stop it. Stop thinking about Nate... He's gone. Leave him.

My brain was right. I needed to forget about Nate once and for all. Before it was okay because I hadn't met Zeke. But now I have. I'm practically a taken woman. He needs to be out of my life for good. And that's what is going to happen. Nate... Nate who? Exactly.
