~~3 Months Later~~

Yawning, I opened my eyes and stretched. My mind fuzzy, from a dream being chased away by the reality that I'm awake. The bright sunlight cuts the room in half as I see dust-mites dancing in the wall of light. I pulled down the cover, earning a weak groan as I felt Nate snake his arms around my waist. He pulled me closer to him as I tried to escape.

"Morning beautiful, stay here longer." He cooed me.

"Good Morning to you too." I replied as he kissed my forehead.

I put my head into his bare chest and relaxed my body. The only weight I could fell was the weight of his arms around my body, cuddling me and making me feel all warm and cozy.

"So, how's the wound going soldier?" I asked as I pulled the quilt down slightly.

"It's fine. Now how are you?" Nate pulled the quilt up before I could see.

"Nate?" I asked.

"What?" I went to pull the quilt back down but he jumped up and turned away from me.

"Babe?" I asked as he threw on a hoodie.

"It's chilly isn't it. Now what're we doing today?" He changed the subject.

I got out of bed and flattened out the quilt. Then walked over to Nate.

"What's going on with you?" I asked.

"Nothing." He quickly answered.

"Then why won't you let me look at your scar?" I asked, sitting on the bed so my head was at the height of where the scar was.

"Because... It's horrible. I feel so self conscious with it... It's a stupid scar, it's fine." He went to walk away but I lifted his shirt. "what're you-" I cut him off.

"I love it. You got this saving me. I love you for this. It's not horrible. It's a war scar. You should love it too." I kissed over the scar and then stood up, face to face with him.

"Really? You do?" He asked flashing a small smile.

"Yeah. I do. And so should you." I smiled too.

"Gosh, I love you." He pushed us back onto the bed.

"I love you too." Then he kissed me.

"Brooke do you want t- WOAHHHHHH!" I closed her bedroom door and turned around, crashing into Nate as I did so.

"Babe. What's wrong?" His hands were on my shoulders.

Brooke came out of her room. "Gen.. I can explain." She stuttered.

"What's going on here- Finch?!" He walked our of Brooke's room.

"Iiiiiiiii... I gotta go." I said trying to walk past Nate.

"Nope. You're staying here." He said holding my waist.

"Look. It's not what it looks like." Finch said.

"It looks like you and Brooke are together." I said.

"Bro, don't lie to Gen. She just knows." Nate added still cuddling my waist.

"Okay, but Gen I can explain." Brooke said.

"Look. Me and Nate went through hell being together. I'm not going to stop you, I'm just saying. This has to be what you want. No going back or breaking up." Just as I finished I felt Nate's grip get tighter.

"Really?" They both said surprised.

"Yeah, Gen is right. You two need to know that you love each other and will do anything for each other. This can't just be a fling. It has to be real." I blushed at his remark.

"Talk about it. We'll be back." I said dragging Nate outside.

"Why drag me out do qui-" I kissed him. He deepened the kiss and lifted me up.

"I love you so much Nate." I said smiling, our foreheads against each others.

"I love you too bae. So much more than I can explain." He said to me.

"Come on. I feel like a walk." He put me down and took my hand in his.

We walked around the village. We didn't do this a lot... At all really. Nate was still getting better, it hurt him slightly when he moved his waist too much. Bending down to pick things up or turning around real quick hurt him. He walked with slight pain so we took the shorter route round.

Getting back, we had been out for about 30 minuets. We sat for a while by the river.

"Come on. Let's get you some rest. You need it." I said as I opened the door.

"You are coming with me though." He spun me around, we were laughing until...

"It's been 2 months... And I've finally found you two..." I heard someone say.

"What the- Zeke?!" Oh shit. Not again.
