~~The Morning After~~

"Now, I suggest that you leave these two alone." I heard someone call but I couldn't see anything but dust.

"And what're you going to do about it?" The guy that was holding me replied, in a cocky voice, gaining laughs from the two that were beating Nate.

"I'll actually aim this time." Walking out from behind the dust cloud was Wayne. he was holding a shotgun in his hand, pointing it just higher than me.

"Okay... Okay... You can have them." I got thrown to the floor, smashing my head of the way down.

"NOW SCRAM! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU HERE AGAIN! YOU HEAR!" Wayne shouted.

I heard the car engines start up then drive away. I was getting helped up but it hurt to much to move so I just let them stand me. Then I relapsed into darkness.

"Imogen?... Imogen?" I woke to Ira. She was sat next to me on a bed I was lying on.

"Urgh... Where am I?" I groaned sitting up.

"Careful now... Your in the back of the café. Do you remember what happened?" She asked making sure I was okay.

"Yeah... I-I nearly got t-taken and Nate- NATE? Where's Nate? Is he okay?" I panicked now.

"Imogen, Hunnie listen to me." She got my attention. "Nate is fine. He's been waiting for you." She smiled.

"What? What time is it?" I was so confused.

"It's 9 in the morning Hun. You were out cold the whole night." She told me.

"The whole night?" I repeated.

"Yeah. Do you want me to let him in?" She asked standing up?

"Please." I sat up and crossed my legs.

Ira nodded and walked to the door. She walked out and closed it behind her, I heard her say something then it opened again. By this time I was stood up and looking for my jacket, as he walked in.

"How are you feeling?" I looked at him and he had a black eye and a cut across his cheek.

"The question is. How are you?" I walked over to him and put my hand on his cheek, gently making the shape of his scar with my thumb.

"I'm not the one who's just been unconscious for nearly 12 hours now am I." He pointed out, smiling.

"True... I'm fine. How badly did they hurt you?" I asked, My hand still on his face.

"Not badly. Really I'm fine." I could tell he was lying, but I didn't want to ask.

"Thank-you." I hugged him.

"Ow!" He breathed, barely audible but I heard it. I unwrapped my arms from his waist and looked him in the eye.

"What was that?" I put my hand on his right side but he stepped back.

"Nothing." He lied through his teeth.

"That wasn't nothing Nate." I tugged on the bottom of his shirt.

"Imoge-" I cut him of by slowly lifting up his shirt.

"Wow!" I gasped.

"Is it that bad?" He questioned not wanting to look.

I wasn't gasping at the bruise... But at his toned abs. He really worked ou- SNAP. OUT. OF. IT. My brain shouted and snapped me back into reality.
