Five years had passed, and my book became a best-selling novel along with its sequels. I still wasn't used to the notoriety of it all. It got so bad that the guys had to beef up security, and I gave up the book tours. The anxiety of it all was rough on me.
The three of us had all our babies. Marissa and Frazier had triplets, two boys, and a girl. Life was hectic at their house, but Junior helped them.
Elena and Jordan had twin boys, so they outnumbered Elena with the testosterone at home, having to have girl nights frequently. Jordan was loving having boys around him. Elijah was an awesome big brother, usually enlisting the twins to help with whatever scheme he came up with to cause trouble. I think he spent too much time with Uncle Frazier.
As for Ryan and me, we only had one child after the twins, which were a boy. Ryan got his junior, as did Jordan. I see this as a problem with the kids. The twins were around seven now and still the little troublemakers they have always been.
After the next births, we girls demanded the guys get fixed. As much as we love our children, we're finished with having kids. The boys weren't happy about it, but it was that, or they got a month alone with the kids without us. They conceded.
I was lying in bed with Ryan, and we were reading. Yes, boring, but we just wanted to relax until two seven-year-olds and a four-year-old bombarded us.
The twins crawled between us like they always did, and Ryan picked up Ryan Jr, flipping him over his head as he giggled, then setting him back in his lap.
"So, what do we owe to this honor of you three gracing us with your presence?" I asked them.
"Mom, can we have a sleepover with everyone," Matthew asked me.
"Well, I'm good with it as long as Dad is," I said, looking at Ryan.
"Oh, I don't know," he said with his arms around RJ.
"Please, Dad," Elizabeth begged him.
"Okay, as long as there are no pranks," he said to her, smiling.
"Yay," they both yelled, climbing off of the bed.
"Matthew," Ryan said.
"Yeah, Dad?"
"I mean it. No pranks since the little ones will be there," Ryan said, giving him a stern look.
"No promises there, Dad. Look, who our uncle is," he shrugged as he left to call the others.
Ryan looked at me. "That's what I'm afraid of."
"Yep," I nodded in agreement.
"Well, little man. Time for bed," Ryan said to RJ.
"Can you read me a story," he asked Ryan, which Ryan agreed to. After he finished reading a story to RJ, he told the twin lights out and came to the bed where I was already asleep.
He climbed in and pulled me close to him as he started giving me kisses. The next thing I knew, he slid my panties down and slid into me, moving my leg up a bit to provide him with easy access.
We slowly rocked back and forth; he thrust deep inside of me, making me let out a breathless moan.
"Mmm, I love hearing you moan for me, baby," he whispered into my ear with his deep husky voice. God, I could not get enough of the huskiness he exuded.
He picked up the pace as we both let go, groaning with pleasure. As we collapsed into a peaceful slumber, all I could think about was damn my husband was sexy as hell.
The next night, we welcomed all the kids to a massive slumber party. Pranks ensued with the guys getting into the act along with kids, while we women sheltered six four-year-olds from their antics.
Eventually, the pranks stopped with the six of us, watching over the kids as they interacted with each other. I noticed the four older ones as they dealt with the four-year-olds than it hit me who they reminded me of, the guys and me.
Junior was like Ryan, taking the lead and directing the others. Elijah was like Frazier with his pranks and sense of humor. Matthew was like Jordan with his intimidating demeanor, and Elizabeth was like me with her quietness. How the boys took on different traits from their fathers was beyond me.
I looked at Ryan, "Do you see what I see?"
"Yep, and I feel sorry for the next generation because they will wreck hell for everyone," he said.
"I don't know if this is a good thing," Frazier added.
"Eh, who cares? At least no one will mess with them." Jordan shrugged.
The three of us looked at him. Leave it to Jordan to point out the obvious. Thank you, Captain Obvious.
If it was anything I knew, yep, the new generation was in for a ride with the fearsome three's kids. God helps them all; they will need it.
