Ruby's POV

_Thor's voice was loud and cheerful. "Beloved cousin!" he said as he hugged me. "Your beauty grows with each new moon. " I hugged him back and when we pulled away, he was smiling. "I am very glad you're back." I looked at Loki. He had his head down. Very slowly he looked at me. As soon as our eyes met I looked away.
"Why am I back Thor? I doubt I've done anything to prove to you that I am 'worthy of living in Asgard'. So why am I here?" Thor smiled. "Cousin, I know how upset you must have been after...certain thinggs happened." he said taking a quick glimpse at Loki, whose head was down once again. Thor turned to me and smiled again. "You have an incredible power. You could have hurt thousands of people out of pain and anger, but you didn't. You truly are an Asgardian princess and you have proven to be wise enough to become queen one day."
"So you couldn't have gone to my apartment and and told me this yourself? I had no desire to return." Loki looked up at me quickly after I said that. Thor simply looked at me. "I understand but...as an Asgardian princess, soon to become queen... you belong here." I looked at him for a few seconds before smiling. If I was going to stay here, I might as well make up with Loki and try to enjoy my life here. I talked to Thor a bit more. Soon a servant would go to my room to take my measurements and make my dresses. As I was leaving to my new room, Loki grabbed my arm and turned me around to face him.
"Ruby...I...I've watched entire civilizations crumble without a care...yet the only thing I regret, is having broken your heart." I had no words. I just stood there in silence as he looked at me expecting to hear at least one word. "Say something", he said "say anything". I finally spoke. "I think we should talk in private" I wanted to take his hand in mine but I didn't do it. "I'm on my way to my room here...maybe you can join me." He smiled but it quickly faded. "I have some work to do, being Thor's adviser and all... but I should be able to visit you in a few hours."
"Alright, I'll be waiting." I left without saying another word to him.

My room was beautiful. Green and purple. The bed was huge. And the closet was almost as big as my room. There were no clothes as Thor had previously informed me. I laid down on my bed, making a few illusions. Beautiful dresses were floating around. How did I get here? My life was fine before all this happened. I was fine. Is Loki really sorry? Is he trying to prove that he is -without a doubt- the God of Mischief? Would my parents approve of us being together? IF we ever get back together? Do they even know what's going on in my life right now? A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts. I realized I had been laying in bed thinking for hours. I opened the door slowly, delicately turning the handle. There he was. Dressed in Midgardian clothes, smelling undescribably good. His hair was short. He probably cut it himself because when he visited me on valentine's day, his hair was longer.
