After being separated from Loki, the guards led me to the palace. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. Everything looked as if it was made of gold. The beauty of it, captivated me. However, I knew, after hearing Thor, that I was meant to go somewhere else. I was taken to what I guessed is their jail. I was thrown into a glass cell and I was told the glass was indestructible. The guards left and stood by the doors of the entrance to this....jail. I looked around me and couldn't help but thinking... what did I just get myself into?

Loki's POV

I could not stand seeing her like that. It made me furious but I did my best to keep Thor from noticing it. If he knows that I have a weakness, he might use it against me. That's why I act as if nothing hurts me, even though I have a weakness, her name is Ruby. I spoke and looked at him with icy eyes.

"Brother, let her go. She has done nothing to you"

"Why have you brought her here?" Odin's voice was clear, loud, demanding. He wanted me to know he was there as well. I turned to him. "I did not do it! She grabbed my shirt before we came here. That is how she ended up here" As I spoke, I noticed Odin looking at my new clothes. I could not read the expression on his face.

"That is true father" , said Thor, assuring Odin that I was telling the truth.

"I will go speak with her." said Odin.

"Father, will all due respect...she's a mortal...It was my understanding that you did not want mortals in Asgard" After hearing Thor say that, I realized he was upset. I did not understand why. I felt the need to remind them both that she is in fact immortal. "She's the-"

"I will speak to her!"  Odin roared, and with that, he left as Thor and I followed him to the very place where I, myself, had been imprisoned months before.

Ruby

Almost as soon as he saw her, Odin froze. Slowly, he walked over to her. "Is....that a birthmark?" I followed his gaze and realized he was referring to the birthmark she had on her right shoulder. Odin stared at her face for a while. I knew he was staring at the freckles she had on her face. 5 in total. One on her forehead, one on every cheek, and two on her chin. Odin tried connecting them from outside her cell, his finger shaking. "Yggdrasil", he whispered. "It cannot be" he said as he left. Thor was just  as confused as I was and ran after him. I stayed there and gave Ruby a sad look.

"Loki why am I here? What did I do?" I just wanted to hug her and hold her in my arms forever. "I never knew it would be like this Ruby. I swear that to you." she looked down "I want to believe you but...you're the God of Mischief and Lies. Maybe you wanted me here ever since I told you what would happen if I ever set foot here. Maybe, me being here, was your plan all along." It pained me to hear her say that but I could not be mad at her. "I'm the God of Mischief to you, to the mortals, and to the people of Asgard. I know. But you must believe me. I try to be honest with you...only YOU"

Thor came back. He looked shocked. I wanted to say something to him but Ruby was the one to speak.

"Listen Thor, I don't know what just happened but I promise I'm not here to harm any of you. I am not a threat. I believe I should not be treated as one!" He looked at her as she spoke and nodded afterwards. "I just...I just don't deserve to be locked up in this... this cage" Once again Thor nodded and finally spoke. "Yes, yes I know. I didn't think I would live to see the day you came back to Asgard...Lady Yggdrasil"

She raised one eyebrow and tilted her head to one side. "Excuse me? What did you call me?"

Thor cleared his throat and said, "You're Yggdrasil. Goddess of Life. Meant to connect the nine realms...also...it seems, you and I are cousins..."
