Loki's POV

_Sigyn and I had only been talking for 10 minutes and I already regretted asking Thor not  to cast her out. She’s a goddess, therefore, she belongs here in Asgard. However, I felt like if I stayed with her any longer, I would end up casting a spell on her to mute her.

“Did she really tell you she no longer loved me?”

Slowly, she nodded.

I sat on my bed, trying to think for a while, but as soon as she sat next to me, I stood up. I walked up to the door, and left. I found Thor in the throne room.

“I want to go see her.”

He had Ruby’s necklace. It looked tiny in his hands. “Do you now? Did Sigyn bore you?”

Ignoring his questions, I walked up to him. “I ask for permission to go visit her.”

He stayed silent and stared at the necklace, as if he was inspecting it. “Granted. Go to Heimdall.”

Internally, I sighed with relief.

He held up the necklace in front of my face. “Give this back to her.”

I took the necklace and started walking away from him.

“Loki!”

I turned around

“Solve this problem. Fix this situation. Then you can come back.”

I nodded and was then on my way to see her.

Ruby’s POV

_High school used to be a blur, but many memories came back as I sat next to Ed. He and I talked for 3 hours before he told me he had to go back to his house because he had to chance given the fact that he had to work in  2 hours.

“Oh Gosh Ed, why didn’t you tell me? I shouldn’t be bothering you when you have to work in a few hours.”

“Ruby”

My name didn’t leave his lips. The voice was different. Loki. No. It couldn’t be him. Was I hearing things?

“You don’t really think you’ve been bothering me?” said Ed. This time I was sure it had been him. I said nothing. He took my hands in his. I slowly looked up to meet his gaze.

“Seeing you again has made this one of the best nights...and days of my life.”

I giggled. He offered to walk me back to my apartment but knowing I had already bothered for too long, I rejected his generous offer. We hugged and said goodbye to each other, and I started walking out of the bar, he asked, “Do you still live in the same apartment?”

“Been living there for almost 20 years.” I smiled at him and walked home. When I opened the door, I immediately knew Loki was there. I had heard his voice at the bar, but I thought I was just hearing things. He was here. “What are you doing here?” I asked.

“I came to fix things.”

He was in my room. His answer made me feel those butterflies in my tummy people always talk about. Maybe he was done with Sigyn, and she wouldn't bother us again. I saw him sitting on my bed. When he saw me, he stood up, but remained a bit far from me.
