Aphmau's POV

I walk down the hall, with my hood on and head down. I can't talk to Aaron, or Lilly will expose my secret.

I sigh.

Ever since he talked to me that day, he was the only person that I felt close to, whenever I'm close to him, I feel something I've never felt before. I can't explain it. Is it...

Love?

No, it can't be... Can it?

No, it can't. I can't fall for anybody.... I can't... But...

Does he feel the same way around me?

Fourth period... Eh, it isn't to bad, but since I have a few minutes until I have to be there I sit on a bench that's in between some lockers. I go to reach for my phone when I realize..

Lilly broke it...

Perfect!

Just.. Perfect....

"Hey Aph! I was wondering where you were! You didn't answer my texts, are you alright?"

I look up to see Aaron walking towards me.

Oh no! I can't be around him! I quickly stand up and run to my next class.

"Huh? Aph! Wait!" I hear him call, but I have to ignore him.

The bell rung, signaling it was the end of the day, today I usually have Aaron help me with my homework, but you know... I can't...

So I'll  just go to my locker and grab my stuff I need and leave. 

When I open my locker a note falls out. I pick it up and it read:

Aphmau,

Are you okay? You haven't been talking to me lately. Did I do something? If I did can you tell me? I knew I shouldn't have interfered with your life. I just made it worse, didn't I? Well if you want to talk meet me at the park; 4:30? I just want to talk and ask you something...

Ugh... My guts are telling me not to, but I really want to.

Should I?

"Mom?" I say as I walk into her room. She's talking to the doctor. I walk up to her and she looks over at me.

"M-Mija!" She extends her arms out to hug me. I lean into her so she wraps her arms around me. I do the same.

"Mom! Are you alright?" I motion towards the mask thats on her face and the IV that's in her arm.

"Oh yes! I am, I'm just talking to the doctor saying I don't need this stuff! I'm perfectly fine to go home!" She looks over at the doctor.

"Really?!" I say

"No mam! The only reason you are alright now is because these things are helping you stay alive!" The doctor stated.

"Oh..." I sighed.

"Oh, nonsense! I can leave right now if I wanted to!" My mom crossed her arms.

"Mom, I think it's better to listen to the doctor!" The doctor nodded at me.

"Thank you ms...." The doctor tilts his head.

"She's my daughter, Aphmau!" She smiled at me.

"Um... Yeah...." I sighed again.

"Ah! Thank you Ms. Aphmau.." The doctor said. "I'm Dr. Calum, pleasure to meet you!" He extends his arms out to shake my hand, I accept and shake.

"Excuse me, may I talk to my daughter alone?" My mom asked.

"Of course!" The doctor walked out of the room.

"Mija, how was school?" She smiled.

"It was.. Okay..."

"What happened?"

"Nothing.... Nothing..." I said looking at the ground.

"Aphmau... Tell me?" Her eyes looked worried.

"I-I can't... You'll get mad..." I said, knowing she probably would.

"Mija..." She sighed. "If you really don't want to tell me you don't have to!" She smiled again.

If only I could tell you....
