Chapter 11

It's been about a week since Steph and I went clubbing and that whole ordeal happened, Auston and I haven't spoken once, we haven't even seen each other.

Tonight that would end though, it was the maple leafs home opener and of course Steph and I would be attending, I wouldn't miss it for anything.

We got to the arena wearing our leafs jerseys and we saw all of the guys. I was especially excited to see Willy though. I haven't seen him in ages and he and I were always so close.

"Nylander!" I exclaimed when I saw him, running and pulling each other into a tight hug.

"(Y/N)! My best friend ever! How are you?" He asked

"Why don't you two get a room already!" Auston scoffed at us

"Austons just jealous!" Mitch chimed in

I wasn't sure why Auston would be jealous, he hates me, it's clear, he's made it clear more than once.

I looked at him but he just looked down and shook his head. Willy and I continued our short lived conversation because it was just about time for the boys to hit the ice.

Steph and I found our seats, we were sitting with Sydney and Lex. The game was fun, it was against the Calgary Flames and I was lucky enough to find Britt Rosenberg during first intermission and we had some time to catch up, she and I were so excited to see each other.

"Sean wants to see you after the game!" She said excitedly

"I can't wait! Text me and I'll meet you down by their locker room after the game!" I said to Britt before going back to my seat waiting for second period to start.

Luckily enough we beat the flames 4-3 in OT, they put up a great fight but of course, Auston came in and saved the day and scored the game winning goal.

I told Steph I would meet up with her and the girls in a bit, but I was going to say hi to Mony.

"Britt!" I called, she had her back turned to me, talking to another girl.

"Hey (Y/N)! This is Sadie, Johnny's new girlfriend!" She smiled

"Hey! I'm (Y/N)!"

We chatted for a bit and then Monahan and Johnny came out.

"Sean!" I exclaimed, being pulled into a big side hug

"Hey! How are ya? How's being a leafs groupie?" He teased

"I'm great how are you? Don't worry I'll always be a flames fan at heart Sean!" I laughed

We talked for a bit but Sean, Britt, Sadie and Johnny had to get going, they left tomorrow to go back to Calgary and I didn't want them to be tired.

I was really happy to see them though, sometimes I considered just moving to Calgary because of them.

"Flames fan I see?" I heard someone say behind me on my walk back to the leafs locker room. It startled me.

"More like a 'Monafan' if you ask me." Auston Matthews, he's always there, startling me and then making stupid comments.

"Wrong, just a flames fan, mony and I have been good friends for a while." I said, rolling my eyes and continuing to walk

"So, then are you and Willy a thing or something? You seemed pretty excited to see him tonight." He stopped me, looking me dead in the eyes, his lips were barely a centimetre from mine.

I considered kissing him, but I didn't know what he would do, I wanted to though. His lips were like a magnet. Instead of kissing him, I ever so slightly bumped my bottom lip onto his, not breaking the intense eye contact and then pulled away and began walking again

"No, were not. But why would it even matter if we were a thing Auston? You hate me anyways." I stated, sounding uninterested. Two can play at this game Auston.

"Yeah. You're right."

We arrived back at the locker room, Steph, Mitch and the other girls and their guys all wanted to go out for drinks to celebrate the first home win. I was down to go, I had an extra shirt in my car so I didn't have to wear my jersey.

Steph came with me and we all met at Cactus Club Cafe, it was nice, but casual enough that I didn't feel under dressed when I got there.

"I have to use the washroom guys, I'll be right back!" I said, excusing myself from the table

Right as I was about to enter the washroom I was roughly pushed up against the wall and being passionately kissed. I knew right away exactly who it was. Instead of pushing Auston off, I kissed back. When the kiss was finally broken I was breathless and so was he.

"Auston.." I whispered.

"I don't hate you (Y/N)." He said, looking deep into my blue eyes

"Then how come you're always so mean to me? Why were you rude when willy and I were talking?" I asked, surprised that I was being confrontational for once.

"Jealousy." He huffed out

"Huh?" I was dumbfounded, jealous of what?

"It's hard to explain, just use the washroom, I'll be back at the table okay?" He said walking away from me

Auston Matthews is by far the most confusing human being to ever walk the earth.

Back at the table, everything was going smoothly, we were all having a great time, until some girl came up to our table.

"Auston Matthews?" She squealed with delight

He smiled at her, she was tall, 5'10" at least, shoulder length orange hair, blue eyes and freckles, very slender. She could be a model.

"Oh my god! I love you so much!" She exclaimed proudly.

"Thanks! Want to come hang out with us for a bit?" He asked, patting the seat beside him, welcoming her to sit.

She was so excited and they were getting along great, I was fine with it, I didn't care, we get greeted by fans all the time, but it kind of gets old.

What really threw me for a fucking loop is when he smirked at me 0.3 seconds before kissing her, and then asking her to leave with him. Of course the girl said yes.

My blood was boiling but I was trying not to show it.

He just, JUST, kissed me, 10 minutes before he even met this girl, and now he's going to take her home with him.

Like I said before, I would never be good enough for anyone.

"Thanks for having me guys, I think I'm gonna header now though." I didn't even realize how Canadian that sounded until Connor Brown started making fun of me.

Of course I laughed, I didn't care, sometimes I say eh, buddy, guy, dude, giver, header, it's just Canadian slang, it happens.

"Why are you leaving?" Sydney and Steph asked in unison

"Just tired really." I was tired, but I could have stayed out all night if Auston didn't ruin my mood. Again. Like he always does.

I made it home, and I cried my sorry ass to sleep. Wondering why I would ever let myself fall for Auston Matthews, even in the slightest bit. But every day, I fell more and more for him, he had his way with women, he could make anyone want him, and at this point, I don't know if I could reverse these feelings.
